Prince of Persia (NGC). Really enjoy the atmosphere and architecture of the game but quickly start to lose interest in it as soon as the fights begin.

Beyond Good & Evil (NGC). A game I have really looked forward to for months but since getting has not really grabbed me. Perhaps it is the slow pace of the game after Jak II but I am still underwhelmed by it.

I went a bit crayzee and went and bought EON, Max Payne 2 and Beyond Good & Evil on the Xbox, and then the Scarface DVD yesterday. So, I basically ended up watching Scarface (yes, sorry first time I've seen it) from like 1 till 4, and from 4 till now - 11am playing Max Payne 2 and really enjoying it. My body clock's ****ed up but hey - at least I'm only a student.

Thanks to a member of the forums pointing me in the direction of rougue ops on the xbox at play i now have a game which actually play quite well. I wasnt expecting much but the game introduces some nice touches to the genre of stealth, although it is flawed to hell, its quite fun as i was expecting dog turd. Im only on the 2nd mission but the idea of using quick time in combat is very shenmue like and adds some tension. Also some of the gadgets are quite cool. Anyways, thats what im playing at the mo' whilst doing somework at the same time lol!

Oh. My. God. Finally done away with Max Payne 2. What a hit n miss game. Having played the PC demo, it's definately a key'n'mouse game. Although, witnessing the rolling demo (trailer which plays if you leave it at the menu) I really don't know why they didn't put in more inventive twists on the combat which was by far the most fun - traipsing around and falling off badly-clipped ramps to instant death was not very fun at all and took up too much of the play time.

Also, after ignoring the 1st's story a couple of years ago, I really did make an effort to pay attention and listen attentively to the plot, but alas maybe I'm just thick/tired/etc but I didn't get any of it... I knew the names of the main players, I knew what they were doing and all, but I just never seemed to have a clue WHY. The TV show bits were amazing self-referencing at work, although they went ahead and did the empty metaphor thing despite it.

Oh, and why will I need the practice on Halo, Tom?

I've started playing Tenchu on the PS for the first time.

The control and levels were really difficult. I could only manage THUG rating on the training level!!

But with some persistance i've grown to adjust to the game. I've found spending 30mins trying to kill everyone in one level undetected really quite rewarding.

I also like the way each level has 3 different layouts, changing the way you run through a level.

My only gripe being the draw distance, it's all too easy to get spotted in the more open levels.

Last level now, and that boss and his lightning strike is really cheapcheapcheap.

Dynasty Warriors 3

Someone obviously failed to mention someone had made a 3D update to Streets of Rage. All you do is beat people in the face. This makes it utterly fantastic. At the moment I'm trying to unlock all the characters (only the 40-odd left) and get all the funky items that are actually useful. Lu Xun + 4th weapon = Ultimate in crowd control. And he wears a silly hat.

Also played EoN - was a bit crap - seems like I just have to get from A to B and trigger a cutscene in which Bond does something cool which I wish they'd just trust me enough to let me do in-game. :/

Might have an allnighter and start Beyond Good & Evil since it's Easter hols, even though I know I should be doing my Uni stuff. :P

Finally buckled and bought 1080 avalanche. At full price. I really wanted it when it came out but I refused to pay 40 bar for it. But it hasn't come down in price or been on offer, and I wanted to play it today, so I got it.

I really like it so far. Best snowboarding game I've played (not played ssx 3 or amped 2). I'm a bit surprised that it's only one on one though.
