When will you quit gaming?

A friend of mine's dad has quit gaming - he's in his 40s & suffers from arthritis in his wrists & it's now at the point where he's in some discomfort just holding a pad. It's not like he was gaming all the time, but more as a hobby thing.

It's not something I've really considered - will you give it up? Or will take illness & infirmity to do it for you?

When they pry my hands stiffened by rigamortise off of my Nintendo 10 Ultrabox machine and lower me into my coffin!
I think I really dont know mabey when I have kids and the games seem too strange and hard for me. I think then like now I will enjoy watching people play.

I quit whenever the cheating computer scores in the last minute or red shells me on the finish line!

I quit whenever a designer makes me run through a maze of laser trip wires or face all the bosses in a row on the last level!

I quit whenever my idiot friend canes me whilst shouting "whats the punch button again?"!

But just when I think I'm out, they pull me straight back in!! I'll never be able to quit for good!

For me it will be when I am satisified enough in my normal life not to have to spend time doing something which has no use.

But I'm sad, so I don't know when that will be.

I hate to say it, but us old grandads will be well out of it once we have super immersive VR-style games.

a) We'll be puffing and wheezing helplessly as our children frantically leg it around Halo 8 maps.
b) We'll probably all have heart attacks from the realism of getting shot/crashing/whatever.

Looks like Tetris or nothing for us in the future
