Time Crisis 2 (Arcade), A daily ritual in my uni SU bar for years, that ended up being played in a kind of trance/relaxation zen state of perfection. Also, R-type, Gradius, and Ridge Racer. I also had a periods of unbeatableness in SF2, (but that collapsed as soon as turbo came out probably because i was just cheap).

I used to own Wardner's sedately-paced ass in the arcade and then repeated the domination on the slightly inferior Megadrive version. God, I loved that game....
