Another funny thing: my mate in GAME said at least half the people who have bought a crystal Xbox over a normal one and a game were blatantly just bearded nerds wanting to mod it to shreds or just hoard for sale later. One person bought five. Five!

I always play in the dark, and being someone who even covers up the red power LED on his TV with blu-tack for maximum uninteruptional playment - one of these isn't up my street.

Mind, if you look at nothing else but your console when playing games I can see the positive side of the matter.

Nice work though - that little display is class, even if you have to be 2foot away to read it.

Blue looks cool but that Red one has far to many LEDs for its own good.

Now your xbox can give off as much light as it does noise.

If you are going to the trouble of fitting extra lights to the xbox you could fit switches to turn them off when you want total darkness - but I guess that would make it even clearer that the lights are for showing off - not that I personally think there is anything wrong with that

I don't like clear cases. The insides of consoles look a mess. However, the brightest-led's-in-the-world(Tm) that they have used for the above mods would not let you see the insides due to the small solar-flare equivalent they are giving off, so I suppose that's a good thing.

They look bloody awful. Class and lighting mods are mutually exclusive terms.

I know of someone who has a Batman logo that shines onto the ceiling when he turns his Xbox on...

A bit off topic but looking at the crystal consoles and the areas the fan sucks air in, how long is it gonna be b4 the inside if the front panel looks all cacky because of dust and carpet fluff etc?

god i hate console mods, they're almost as bad as pc mods which always make already ugly pc cases even more ugly

                            I love PC case mods.

                            1) Cut hole in side on PC
                            2) Replace with perpex
                            3) Add as many flashing lights as possible

                            OR

                            1) Use the money and time saved from not modding the case, and just buy an Alienware like all the trendy people who actually give two hoots what the case looks like.
