Some good stuff mentioned. I'm a huge fan of shooters and had the likes of Mars Matrix and Ikaruga the first time round. What about Samba, is that worth the cash?

      Definetely.

Its the most univerally appealing game that ever existed on any system IMO. The perfect party game, and I found that almost all people who came round my house loved it (even those who hated games).

Its also pretty good exercise if you play for a couple of hours not to mention immense fun and a good challenge.

If you can, pick up Samba 2000 rather than the original.

I'm not sure what the current going rate is for Samba - but it is a fantastic experience. I took it to my parents house last christmas and they were hooked on it in minutes - despite initially thinking I was barmy.

In case your tempted to cut costs when investing in it its worth pointing out though is that some of the third party maracas are, apparently, of a lesser quality than others. I have a pair of official maracas and a pair of third party maracas. Both of which are fine. But I have heard reports of some people having problems with the third party ones.

Going rate for official maracas and Samba 2000 is about 130-160pounds mint.

I`d advise staying away from 3rd party maracas though, as it seems that in the majority of cases, people who`ve bought them come to the conclusion that they`re pretty ****e.

Tech Romancer - if you like 3D robot fighters.
Project Justice Rival Schools 2 - another decent 3D fighter.
Zero Gunner 2 - nice 2D, with an axial twist.
Spawn Or Out trigger. Both decent 3Darcade shooters, although i prefer the style of spawn.

Its not a bad game, but woefully simplistic and far far too easy (within half an hour of me first booting up the game, I could get to level 7 on 1 credit wtf!) and therefore it really lacks in the satisfaction stakes.

Treb- How playable is the Japanese version of D2? Are there any language issues?

Wasn't that originally in development for the M2 for about three years?

Total language issues. The game is all about the story in the cut scenes, so no knowledge of japanese would effectively ruin it for you. Especially as the story is really good - full of suspense and twists and turns.

Concept: Yes, it was. You could never tell though: it looks every inch the DC game.

Grandia 2 is worth checking out, looks better than the PS2 version.

                                Cosmic Smash.

                                Fire Pro Wrestling D

                                Giant Gram

Fatal Fury - Mark of the Wolves
