Should I sell my WE6:FE on Cube?

I know that WE6:FE on Cube is pretty hard to get hold of these days but a mate has offered me a good price for it (in excess of what I paid for it new).

Thing is, I don't play it anymore - due to WE7 International on PS2 and was pondering whether or not this game is going to become the next super rare game in a year or two.

I'm not desperate for the money, so should I hold onto it?

I would never sell my copy, if you don't need the money why bother. It will only annoy you when you go to your mates house and see it sitting on his shelf in all its glory.

Theres never been a rare football game anyway, due to its nature, ie constantly changing stats/teams. Its only desirable at the moment because WE/Pro Evo is only on PS2 at the moment, and the cube is more desirable!

If they don't release another game in the series on Cube it will be rare though.

I'm probably going to tell him to piss off. Just to see if he ups his offer.

If I went on that basis I would probably have to sell 80% of my current collection.

Due to the fact that it's a sports game which gets updated every 6 months I don't see it becoming the next super rare game. Give it a few years and it'll play poorly compared to the latest version of WE and hence it's price is bound to fall. Although in the short term it's price might rise a little.

Anyway unless he gave you a stupid offer and you want the money hold onto it until you do.

Limited production run, probably more sales outside of Japan than inside... I'd say between 50-75k copies were sold total. And people really do want it because it's a great game (and imo better than WE7 in some ways) and the only decent one on the Cube.

a member here sold him for ?30 and after checking the prices on ebay i bit his hand off for it

couldnt believe the price this game fetches

was after it for some time but i think i have only had it on once since i got it

I won't sell mine as I want to keep it, I mean if I go away for work or work aboard I can take gamecube and play games in hotel or whatever.

I sold mine on here for ?20. Not really interested in taking the buyer for all he's worth, I was finished playing it and thought someone else might enjoy it. Thought it was a fair price myself.

I paid ?45 for it last month and it was worth every penny. It's a fantastic game and, IMHO, better then WE7/Pro Evo 3.

?82 though...jeez that's expensive for a game that isn't that hard to find if you make a bit of an effort in tracking one down
