Is this game going to cost us to play online?

Why do EA want to charge people to play live? MS provide us with an excellent service for ?40 a year, game makers provide us with quality games we can play on the service. yet EA want to ad to that and charge us per game online

ESPN football is currently the best online football game going, even if madden was a million times better do you think people would pay to play it online when they can play an already excellent game for free? i think not.

To bring the best concepts to the best consoles, the gamer will have to pay for it. Its a fact. We believe that to service you, the Gamer with the content you desire, you will have to pay.

But what we intend to do is bring exciting new downloadable content for Live enabled games. For instance with the unstopable smash hit that is going to be GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, we are putting together an exciting downloadable content package that will have a staggered release structure to enable you, the gamer, the ultimate Bond experience.

We think that having ALL the game on the bought disc isn't as progressive as it should be, so new characters and levels will only be available for those who pay for "EA Xtreme" the exclusive online package for Xbox Live customers. Imagine being the envy of your friends with the EA Xtreme package and actually being able to finish the game to its 100% full completetion!

So you cant actually complete the game 100% without paying extra?

i get all that from Ubisoft, there's plenty of downloadable content for Rainbow 6-3 all the time, yet we never get charged for it, charging for downloadable content is cheeky but acceptable imo, i just wont pay for it charging extra to play EA games online is out of order imo. especailly when they are not always the best games in a particular genre.

?35 for a game and ?35 for a live subscription is very reasonable IMO, companies who want to charge extra wont get my support no matter how good the games are.

I don't get this: you're calling the game GoldenEye, even though it's (apparantly) got nothing to do with the GoldenEye N64 game of the GoldenEye film? Does that not strike you as a tad demented. Or perhaps a way or luring unsuspecting gamers into a false sense of security to make the sell.

Calling this game Goldeneye is more blasphemous than John Woo making a remake of Dr No starring sean-william scott as james bond.

The sheer blantent fact is that you are calling this game goldeneye because you know you can sell the game to stupid morons who know no better.

I can't wait for the stupid fecks who will come into where I work and tell me that the N64 game was crap and that the new ps2 version is much better.

not really - you've done a comprehensive job of reminding me that, whatever the film's strengths, its music is terrible. U2 (the half that weren't busy doing a ****e version of the Mission: Impossible theme) wrote a crap song, Tina Turner is too busy practising her Shirley Bassey impression to actually put any real emotion into it, and Eric Serra (for all I actually like his 5th Element) turns in a woeful score. Its all electronic twiddling, and far too scared to use the traditional Bond themes.

Why are you posting the Lyrics to the song from the FILM 'GoldenEye' - you said earlier that they've got nowt to do with each other except that they're James Bond themed. Now you're putting the song lyrics into a post about the game that has nothing to do with it.

That second shot down features possibly the worst designed weapon I've ever seen in an FPS - I mean what is that supposed to be!? It looks like Bond's realised that, in reality, he can't physically juggle twelve weapons at once so he just gaffer taped them all together into the ultimate rude boy twat-cannon.

This Game will be ****, it was called Golden Eye to sell more. JibberX you?re a dick head stop acting like a big shot EA spokeperson and tell the truth about this game. Also Im sure you said you where a games tester before.
