Gmail - Could anyone send me an Invite?

I'd really like to setup a Gmail account. Does anyone else have one? Or could possibly invite me to have one?

Google's bid for online webmail dominance. You get 1 gb of mail space for free. In return, it scans your messages, and displays discreet ads on the right hand side. It's ok, and it's still in beta, but it's not exactly life changing. IIRC there are 10 mb attachment limits, so you can't use it as a cheap file server between you and friends.

Also, ffs, don't use it to back up your work e-mail everyone. The recent balls up at Akaima showed how major companies such as google are reliant on these things (the google.co.uk frontend is hosted by akaima.

I just sent an invite to PeteJ: in a few days his account will spawn 6 more invites for those that want one.
TBH it's not that wonderful on first impression, especially given that the other free email providers are matching the GB storage upgrade. Perhaps the "search don't file" feature gets more compelling with more than 4 or 5 test emails... but since I have no intent to switch over to the beta for 'real' email use I won't be able to find out.
