I stopped playing EVE because I didn't like the direction my corp was going in. Plus one person in the corp pissed me off one time to many.

It was fun while it lasted though. Frequent scraps with m0o abound, I was also nearby when m0o lost they're first battleships to RUS corp (Lord Zap and his battleship shot at me! The honour). My clan also struck up a friendship with m3g4 (which is why I quit). We basically turned into a pirate corp. The last straw came when m3g4 and my clan blew someone up in a pod I was an unfortunate witness.

My fully equipped thorax with 3 dual 425mm, 5 control reactors flew it's last that night.

What race were you sasuke? We're always on the look out for experienced amarri pilots so if you feel you wanna play again give Takumi Vetinari a PM.

I was Gallante. I cancelled my account and took the game off my PC though.

I don'd understand the whole pirate thing, last night it was ok but usually half the people in my (NPC-) corp channel are looking for pirates/players to hunt and destroy, hardly anyone is playing the economy game. I figure if you wanna blow stuff up/fight others go play Planetside or Quake or summat.

Lord Zap hey? I think he's the most legendary player in the game - I've only been online for two days and i've already heard about him (not just on here) I think the bounty on him is up to 12 millin ISK now.

LOL, you tell me. My corp and another were having battles with most of the m0o corp at one time. Ywev, J0rt, Lord Zap, tekforce, gauss, and some others. Never mind the fact that they had 3 battleships, and we had 0. We had 20 cruisers camping the only way out of a system once. Took out a couple, nearly got Zap

A GM even came to the system for some reason

p.s. Lord Zap didn't hit me that hard, only took half my shields on the first volley

We don't pirate, we fight faction wars. Could use an experienced gun slinger, if you want to come back as Amarr.

For the record: M0O get far too much attention in-game, they aren't all that.

                  Ok,

Just got in and did the tutorial, promptly crashed when I reached the space station and alt-tabbed to check some stuff!...

I'll try and head on over to Mora once I've had a look round my starting locale!

Don't alt+tab, use alt+enter to flick back to windows, or run it windowed mode all the time (like me. I run the desktop 1280x1024 and the game in a 1280x960 window).

Any folk wanting to join my band of merry men, select an Amarr character and message Takumi Vetinari in game.

(and yes, the in-game site looks crap, cos it's html 1.0 only.. but it looks really snazzy when viewed with the in-game browser)

Well, I've been getting on fine sofar, spent quite a bit of time in the NPC corp I started in. I've now joined Advanced Solutions, A player run corp out in the sticks (WY-9LL, in case your interested). Our CEO has a massive battleship and a lot of ambition. Basically we all mine for the corp and get paid for it (well at that). They kitted me out with all the stuff I cauld possibly need, even gave me a new ship when i got blown up on a ninja-mining run . So all is going well. I intend to stick around till I can fly Cruisers and Indies, then head back to safer space and hook up with a real-life friend of mine.

Just thought I'd post here as a bit of an interesting update, as the world of EVE has progressed considerably.

I now command about 45 men in PIE Inc., last night we had 21 on. My in-game name was actually mentioned on the official news last night (apparently, only the 4th person to have this done) - see, we organised a vigil for our Emperor as a show of respect (a bit of a "come on, get well soon") and no less than 230 people showed up in their ship, orbitting the statue of Heideran VII. Was a shame a lot of people acted like cocks, but we said our words like.

Seems the devs of the game are involving us in the official storyline now - makes a man proud to see something he started as a bit of a joke turn into a corporation which is (I believe) respected throughout the entire MMORPG.

Hi guys... hows it all going? I've been thinking about getting into my first MMORPG as I've just got broadband installed and this looks as good as any at the moment. It certainly sounds interesting.

How has the game progressed? Are you still actively involved with PIE inc?

As far as i know, PIE is still running in EVE without Stu as he is now playing SWG with us lot. Which is fun

Yep Pie inc is still going in eve. Apparantly the long term plan is to have the two pie incs (eve and swg) be linked under one pie website with links to the two games.

Pie in eve is going from strength to strength with pretty much the whole corp now being in battleships and the member count increasing.

Hope that the pie in swg is going well as well
