xctrl seems to lag a bit and sometimes resets my lappy

hmm never really noticed that, although i mainly use xbcd now. when i used to use xctrl i never had any lag/rebooting problems. i liked xid too as it just let the standard windows driver do it's stuff so didn't clutte

        **UPDATE**

got the hub this morning - dinky little thing so dinky in fact, that i may not be able to nicely stuff the xbox connector, 2xusb ports AND the mem card connector into that little translucent case. I'm off to maplin tomorrow to get some speaker wire (setting up PA system at my friend's wedding on saturday ) so i'll get a few project boxes.

i may decide to make a mock-up first just to see if it works (and before i have to post my steering wheel to the winning bidder so i can test it out) so hopefully sunday will be the day. or maybe friday night if you're lucky

lol haven't touched it in a week m8

got the project box but looks like i'm gonna need to get out bits like a dremel to cut it up. i wanted to fit the xbox connector into the usb hub AND retain two usb ports (why bother having a 4-pot hub eh?) but even if i removed all the usb ports it still won't look too nice (by nice i mean professional)

i'll see how it goes over the weekend but not planning on doing anything until tomorrow evening at the earliest.

btw when is sf3 coming out? i read it's like january in the us

I'm sure it's the end of this month, for PAL regions anyway.

As mentioned above the magcibox converter can't be used with the headset -it doesn't fit the mem card slot for some reason.

But, has anyone tried making it fit? i.e. hack sawing a bit off either the headset outer casing or the making the recess in the magcibox bigger.

I have a spare headset adapter and want to try it. I think taking a bit of this will be easy than making the recessing bigger. My girlfriend (who doesn't like me hack sawing stuff that works perfectly) encoraged me to post here before trying it.

oh well if it has a mem card slot then my hub won't work with it

i thought it doesn't have a mem card slot hence not allowing the headset

                    oh well

i'm gonna finish it off anyway as i've got the bits and i'm sure it'll come in handy for someone who wants to play driving games on live, or something...

If you reckon the ports are exactly the same type, as in both works as normal usb ports then i dont see any issues. I'll go give it a try

There is an adapter selling on consoleplus.co.uk that doesnt have a memory card slot from what i see of it. Check one of those out, think they are around ?10

                          hey soi

why not just unscrew the casing? then you'll have a natty pcb that you can plug in. surely that'll fit?

Nah, i was talking about it being compatible with your hub, if i've understood what you've been planning for all this time

And yeah, taking the casing off does give a nice green light when you plug the adapter in, so hopefully it should work fine.

ok, it's just i don't wanna spend ?10 to test something out if, theoretically at least, it should work
