If you want to test it before you file it down take the top off plug the live adapter in and go to send someone a voice message from the xbox live menu, you can listen to your recording before submiting it.
I did that to test the Fighting stick EX. I would be very surprised if the ports are any different im guessing MS did it so you couldnt plug 2 headsets into a pad.

Has anybody tried Magicbox with the PS2 SvC Chaos stick? I know it's not the prefered stick on these forums but I like it!
I tried it today and the Xbox went crazy, it was as if a button was stuck down or something. In Mameox it kept cycling through the menus by itself then reset the console!
Any ideas why this is happening? It works fine with the Dual Shock and Saturn pads.
I tried another adaptor, the ?10 from Console Plus. Can't remember the name but there is a lag problem with that and the stick.
Shame, I really wanted to use the stick with Mameox and FBAxxx.......

For those that are interested, I can confirm that hacking of enough of the casing of a headset adapter does not allow it work work with a Magicbox
I sawed off about 2 mm from each side of a headset adapter, and it still worked with an S pad. I stuck it in the Magicbox and the green light went on, so a connection was definitely made. However, no sound went to the headphones and every game I tried indicated that I didn't have a headset plugged in. The mute button wouldn't make the light go red either. A shame it didn't work.
So, has anyone got any other ideas?

I've just got the Joybox from g-funk (thanks!) and like the magic box you can plug the microphone in and get a green light but it doesn't pick it up as a microphone and so doesn't work. Or it didn't for Burnout 3 anyway.
