PAL Donkey Konga ona JAP GameCube

Picked up the UK editiion of Donkey Konga yesterday only to find that it wouldn't work on my Jap Cube through Freeloader and I've lent my UK Cube to the girlfriend (Goddamn Animal Crossing).

Anyone know any tricks to get stubborn games to work through freeloader?

That's a bit worrying then. What's the version of Freeloader? Only I've got a PAL order too. Maybe it'll work if the Cube is on US mode first. Will see...

Did you use the version of freeloader on the action replay? As that's definitely the most reliable version. If you did, then I'm ****ed as I've ordered the PAL version for my Panasonic Q.

No I didn't. I'm using the normal retail version of Freeloader. Doesn't matter now anyway as I've borrowed a Cube from work until the gf gives mmine back. The perks of retail are few but they have their moments.

Yes... PAL games are not prog scan, so it won't work

Unless you mean you're using a vga up scan converter, rather than a modded component lead.

Got the PAL version today, works perfectly on modded Panasonic Q.
I only have crappy freeloader 1.04 too.
No memory card issues either, 60hz available too.

Quite like the songs on it, stronger than the US release IMO.
Still, I know have 4 discs (JPN Konga 1+2, US Konga, PAL Konga) should keep me going for a bit.

Is it that good then bowser I was thinking of picking this up and at ?32 with the drums seems like a very good price, i loved samba de amigo is this as good then?

I have tried the PAL version of Donkey Konga on my modded Q (US boot) with Freeloader 1.06b and it doesn't work.
Anyone know if I can get it to work?

Pointless me adding this...but it works fine on my modded Q (in US mode...didn't even try Jap) using the action replay's freeloader.

And it's loads of fun!!

There only method I can get it running from is this one:
Turn on Q with no game inserted
Open disc draw, put in freeloader. Choose load disc.
Once the freeloader is loaded, press Z and pick the European flag. Insert PAL game.

The other methods don't work for me on 1.04.
It works when booting from US and JPN mode too.

So far I've only heard people playing the EU Donkey Konga on a Pana Q with Freeloader 1.04

Is there anyone who also got it to work with 1.06b ?

I also tried the method of turning the Q on, then insert the disc and after that selecting the EU flag with Z, but that didn't work either.
