Yep I've tried all 3 methods, and using the Freeloader on AR and none of them work for me

UPDATE: Got a picture out of using the Freeloader on Action Replay using the region select (press Y) method. Could be on here for some success

Just to update. The Freeloader in AR works with it fine. Saving is fine. So there you go

Just a quick question before I go and buy a copy of both donkey konga and action replay tomorrow.

Is action replay region free like freeloader so I can just buy a pal copy and use it in my Panasonic Q?

Yes, the actual Freeloader is totally region free. Any version can be used on any region machine.

My only theory about the Freeloader in my copy of AR working and not the standalone copy I have, is that the version included with AR is later than 1.06b (which is my standalone). Apart from that, not sure. Just make sure you use the region select method.

Yes, 1.06b has problems loading any of the newer PAL releases on a import machine (everything released after Zelda:WW I think?). I had to hunt down a copy of 1.04 before I could play Wind Waker on my Jap GC.

Datel did release a newer version that supposedly fixed the problem with 1.06b - it is rather cleverly distinguished from it as version 1.06B. Quite why they chose a practically identical version name is unknown, but I suspect it was to cut down on people sending back their discs... as they'd assume that was the version they had already.

I reckon it is exactly that.

Can I exchange my disc then with Datel?

Is 1.06B the Freeloader in that new packaging (this one: http://www.dvdboxoffice.com/descript...+&pid=90027857 )

1.06B came in the old packaging too.

As a rough guide, the 1.04 and 1.06b dvd inlay was reflective, whereas 1.06B wasn't. The design was the same though.

I'm not sure whether that new packaging is for 1.06B still, or a new version.

Datel did do exchanges for people who had 1.04 to get 1.06b, but I don't know if they're doing the same for 1.06b > 1.06B (i'd like to assume they do). Try emailing them or checking the freeloader section in the codejunkies forums.

Does freeloader come with all the action replays? I asked staff in 2 of my local GAME stores....and neither of them had a clue.

it was on the AR disc I bought couple of months ago, not sure if it is version "B" though.

'Freeloader' functionality is build into the AR.

I thought 1.06B was still the latest Freeloader not?

You see the packaging on the dvdboxoffice link? I've got 1.06b and an other packaging (looks kinda the same, but it is different).

So, Donkey Konga EU does not work with 1.06b on the Q but DOES work with 1.06B, is that correct?

                                *bump*

I'd like to know, since I want to know if it's worth getting the 1.06B Freeloader :P
