    that's cool.

oooh there's another thing - my ipod doesn't seem to charge the battery for 4 hours from flat, usually takes a few hours instead. i'm wondering if this has something to do with the dodgy battery life? i'm using a proper usb charger plugged directly into the ipod, not via the dock, and not charging from the laptop. i haven't tried it with a firewire charger yet

only just noticed this, but i already ordered one a couple of days after my other post.
i said apart from ebay purely because thats the obvious, wanted to see if there was anywhere else.
        thanks anyway though.

Ok guys I have a question for all of ye:

I only have a 14gig HD in my laptop, and what with having a 60gig iPod I don't have the space to store it all on my PC, so I deleted the music from the 'itunes music' folder in itunes. Now I can't edit the files I have (ie add album art) or put songs in playlists- is there anyway I can get iTunes to look on the ipod itself for the songs or does it not work this way?

          Help me please!

So what do you guys think of the full-blown iPod Video rumours? 3.5" widescreen taking up the whole unit, using touchscreen technology. Sounds good for video freaks but ditching the clickwheel for a touchscreen version sounds like it'll be a nightmare to use for music. Or just get full of prints if there's no stylus involved.

Of course it's all rumour at the moment but with Jobs getting more video content in iTunes by the month and Disney buying Pixar, it's not unimagineable.

Still awaiting an 80gb iPod for music alone though

It seems like the logical next step. The iPod is 16:9 format more or less if rotated 90 degrees, so a virtual touch wheel would make sense.

Too bad I just bought a 60gb video iPod, but it can always go on eBay I guess.

It was ?20 but its really nice quality and i hate not having a good case for my ipod cause it gets so bloody dirty otherwise. so if anyone else is looking for a case those leather ones are highly reccommended by myself.

First thing I did with my 4G clickwheel was fingerprint it and scratch it. It's still going after being dropped numerous times and being in my pockets with keys, money etc pretty much everyday. A piece of plastic fell off the dock connector at the bottom a while back. Maybe I'll invest in a case next time.

                  Just saw these mock-ups

I still can't decide if a stylus would work or not. And it could do with a small 'flap' on the back that opens to make a stand for easy viewing.

hang on a sec. so you deleted all your music from the folder, right? but you've still got it on your ipod? so i'm assuming of course that your ipod is set to manual update and not automatic? if so, all you need to do is plug your ipod in and it'll appear in itunes and you can edit the songs on it directly without fiddling with what's on your hard drive. when you say you can't edit the files you have already, are these the files on the hard drive or on the ipod? are the songs on the ipod all greyed out when you access it through itunes?

Sorry if this has already been covered but my iPod Nano has frozen on Pause during a song and I can't get the little fooker to shut down. Anybody know what to do? I guess I could let it run its battery down as the screen is frozen lit up and hope it comes to life when I plug it back into my Mac...

                      HELP!!!

I had that too before, I just let the battery run out and it was fine after that

Nah, I tried my tracking no. on the UPS site already
Still, it's only been a day or 2 so I'll start worrying if I don't have it early next week.
