i've got the latest update from itunes

only have USB1 ports on this laptop does that matter?

but i have got anapod to work and have got songs to the ipod so i'm not sure what it is

That's weird. I'd try it on a different PC, try to rule out if it's a fault with your iPod or PC.

got it working with anapod now, so that will do me seems like good software to use, got song and videos on the ipod so it's fine for now.

should have my new pc in a couple of weeks anyway.

There are loads of cheap players, usually from HK/China which ripp off the iPod. Apple shut them down when they can, but it's an endless battle.

Anyway, rumour has it Apple may be showing the video iPod in a few days at WWDC. Rumours of course, have been wrong before though.

Got my sister a Nano for her birthday and she's having problems getting it to see the music.

She's transferred files via the PC from a CD into the Music directory on the Nano and iTunes has ripped the tracks and converted them to AAC format but when she wants to listen to them the Nano screen doesn't diplay them so therefore she cannot listem to them.

There are also directories called something like F001 and F002, she's tried putting them in there too but still nothing.

Does she for example have to make sub directories within the Music directory?

Eveything else on the machine seems to work like the games and calendar etc it's just the music bit she can't get to work.

Any ideas?

You have to use iTunes to transfer the music to the player. Putting music directly in the directory will not do anything.

hi i have a broken ipod which has just reached 12 month garentie etc and i cant send it back. it doesnt turn on and i have no idea what the fault is its a black 30gb 5gen ipod i was wondering how much could i sell it for cheers

can you still use the hard disc , when you plug it into the pc? if not and its completley useless. Then im sure someone might want it as a door stop. Seriously though, if nothing works what would you pay for it?

finally looking to get an ipod but is it worth paying 169 for the 4 gig ipod nano or just buy a 30gig ipod video one ? because 169 for 4gig seems too much really as the 30 gig video one is not much more

apple are taking the piss with the prices


also is the radio addon thing worth buying or is there some 3rd party addon that you can get radio on the ipod ?

Looks like we got some new iPods to choose from.

Aluminium, green, silver, black, blue and pink Nanos (depending on the capacity) with 24 hour battery life. 8gb Nano available now.

80GB and 60GB iPods with 60% brighter screen and controller, gapless playback, games (which work on other 5G models) downloads and new earphones. Better battery life apparently too.

Expect them on the UK store in the next 45 mins

iTunes 7 is out, updated and reorganised areas for devices and media types. ITMS will give you cover art for free if you're missing any

Movie Store opens featuring Walt Disney, Pixar, Touchstone, Miramax (all Disney coincidentally). Hope to go international in 2007.

Last thing is the set-top-box to be released early next year.
