Bloody hell!

Itunes 7 has major bugs! Ever since installed the new patch my ipod has started crashing on random occaisions! Its crashed like once in the past year but now FFS, it does it way too much to ignore!Also, play back on my itunes keeps stammering whenever music loads up whilst viewing web pages.

Oh about the album art thing, yah have to give loads of details to register. You need to give yah credit/debit card details! FFS i dont intend on buying music from em! is there any way to get the album art to work with out giving my credit card details to em? Im so sceptical about putting details like that on websites.

If you aren't going to buy anything there's no harm in giving them your CC details. It's not as if Apple are going to go on a spending spree with your card.

Why does the album artwork not show up on my ipod? Do i need to do something?

Well I ordered one of the new 80GB iPods. That 20 extra GB is too much to pass up. The decisions in having to delete something every time I add a new album were getting tricky. Now I have to find a way of getting everything off my 60GB one - I lost a hard drive that accounted for about half the music on it and the other half is split between two computers so I did all of my arranging and playlists and even labelling on the iPod itself.

I don't even know if I have 60GB of space anywhere here or at work to dump this stuff off even if I do find a way...

Anyway, anyone know if there is much of a second hand market for these things? I mean, how easy or difficult is it to offload an old iPod?

Edit: Oh and Del Boy, it's possibly you don't have the option checked to display artwork on your ipod. You'll find it on your 'Music' tab in iTunes.

I'm sure it will be easy to sell it on as long as it's not wrecked or engraved with something too personal (so that's why they offer free engraving - to deter resales!)

AFAIK the artwork has to be embedded in to each and every song. Is it currently just an image (e.g. folder.jpg) in the album's folder?

Unfortunately Apple are too damn hard to predict. That could come out next week or it could be the end of next year. For me, not worth waiting. For others, quite probably.

I'm not sure how they do it too. I mean, their new models hit the streets as soon as they are announced so they would have been manufacturing for quite some time and all we ever get are rumours, which often turn out to be false. How do they do that? There must be thousands of people involved in that design to manufacturing chain and yet they manage to keep their next move a secret almost every time.

Got my new goody today. This is the first iPod I've owned but I figured an 8GB Nano was a good time to jump in. First impressions are good - the aluminium body is lovely and the sound is nice and clean - not that I'm using the (new design) white buds that were bundled

Looks nice! Like the smiley face. Reminds me of my old Mac Plus from way back when. I'm in th eprocess of trying to get everything off my 60GB iPod. Using a programme called Copypod. Everything seems to have worked okay except my playlists didn't transfer properly and any track I already had in iTunes is now duplicated. Trying to sort that now. There's no easy 'delete duplicates' option. Selecting over 10,000 duplicates manually isn't exactly what I had planned for the next few weeks so I'm just going to delete my old iTunes library completely.

Pain in the hole mostly. On top of all that, I had to say goodbye to a lot of high quality porn to get 60GB free.

Backing Up my 5th Gen Ipod?

Need to send it off as its goosed. before i do is there a way i can save all my albums etc. and do a one off restore when i get my new one ?

Dont you have everything on your iPod on your PC already anyway?
