Any suggestions to what kind of headphones I should get? Want something with good sound quaility and good build quaility, kinda fed up of headphones breaking after 6 months.

i'm at the stage where i need some new ones too. my original apple ones are going to break down by the jack any time now.
i just want a reasonably decentish pair with a nice long cable like the apple ones have, but i've no idea whats good, not really wanting to spend a fortune though.

I recently bought a pair of Shure E4 IEMs. They are expensive but deliver superb sound and isolate well too.

Not a happy bunny this morning. Accidentally dropped my 80Gb Video iPod, now there's a bloody great (deep) scratch down the screen - any ideas as to what could minimize the damage at all?

            Replacing and iPod 4G Battery.

I have a 4G iPod that has served me faithfully for the past 2 years but the battery has finally started showing signs of giving up. Are there any recommeded brands of replacement battery?

            Thanks.

I'd try Google to see if there's anyone who will repair screens.

I've always protected my iPods with these:

I know its too late now, but worth bearing in mind for anyone who's considering one.

More of an iTunes thing but, today, the first DRM-free tracks went up. There's a whole bunch of them and, if you already bought the albums, there's an option to upgrade to the new, better quality, DRM-free versions. That said, I've been trying to download them all day and there seems to be a lot of server problems.

I got a new iPod nano the other day (one of those Ltd red ones) and I can't help but notice that it's not quite as loud as my previous nano. Is there any way of making it louder? And before anyone asks, I have set the 'sound limit' setting the menus to 100%.

                          a) itunes application, plug it in and it syncs
                          b) yes
                          c) it organises them itself

So my ipod nano (Gen1) battery is on it's last legs and only giving me around 1hrs worth of charge. Anyone know how much it would cost to get a new battery, and where might replace it?

To be honest if the cost is over say £50, then I'm inclined to get a new one! (friend is currently over in Seattle, so might be an appropriate time...)...

Blimey. My 3 year old+ 40GB iPod still has a far better battery life.

Is your nano running all the latest software?

Try doing a complete wipe and re-installing the iPod software.

If it's still rubbish have a look at the Apple Refurb Store for decent prices on a nano:
