How can I check if my graphics chip is "Direct X Level 7 compatible"

David, you're going to post somewhere between 3500 - 5000 in 3D Mark 2001 with that card.

I used to have the AGP Geforce 2MX in an Athlon 1800+ XP and I got 2,500 at best :-/ I quarupled it by buying a Geforce 4Ti 4600, which scored around 11,000. The jump in IQ, speeds etc was immense. Anyway info from:

Mgear, it's actually a Celeron 2800 chip,

3DMark2001 with onboard graphics - 1573
3DMark2001 with PNY MX420 PCI card - 2921

(both standard default settings)

Just changing 1024x768 32bit to 640x480 16bit brings scores upto
2578 & 4539 respectively

Guess the PCI slot (and card) is the real bottleneck
