For a while now I've been hooking up my PC to my big TV downstairs whenever I want to watch episodes of shows(DivX, xVid), and I've been looking at getting one of those DVD players that plays these files. I then thought that it may be possible to hook an X-Box up in this way, which would be cool because I've been tempted to get one for a while anyway.
So... a few questions:-
Is this at all possible?
Would I need to get it chipped in order to do this?
What size H/D does an X-Box have 'out of the box'?
Does the machine need to be chipped in order to fit a new H/D?
Can I hook up my broadband router and share files with my PC?
If I need to get it chipped, how much does this cost?
Would I be better getting a second hand X-Box and then chipping it?
Or shall I buy one 'pre-chipped'?
If it's possible to watch DivX/xVid files with a vanilla machine, then that would be preferable, but ideally I'd like to get it all networked up with my PC. Just looking at what options I have really.
Cheers guys.
