I don't know if the ghosting can be fixed using the service menu, for that you may need to enter the designer menu which, allegedly, has two or three hundred settings. Again, I wouldn't recommend changing any parameters apart from those listed in my previous post. You really can damge the set.
Try getting Toshiba to fix the ghosting. I had a problem with my 32ZP38 where faint horizontal lines would run across the screen when progressive scan was enabled, I contacted Toshiba and within a fotnight an engineer called round and fixed it on site; he even repaired an old DVD player of mine for a cup of tea, a flapjack and a tenner in his back pocket.

I had to do a RTB for my first PF2 set because of the above prog-scan problem - rather than repair it my vendor just did a straight swap and the second was fine...
For the ghosting: have you tried simply changing your brightness and contrast values? They're all over the place if you use the default viewing settings... I've heard horrible stories on the AV Forums about green smearing/ghosting and the like but I've never had it...

I'll have another look when I get home, but I swear all I have is speakers. I'm gonna look like a right twat if I get it open now :/

hank, sort your head out man, the 32ZP38 has a long spring panel right in between the speakers - just press the little arrow and it should spring open, if not you've probably got a faulty panel.
Regarding the ghosting, try choosing picture mode 3, turning black stretch off and setting contrast and brightness levels to around 50-55. This might help a little, if not I suggest using picture mode 3 anyway as it switches off all digital enhancment gadgetry which results in more natural picture.

Anyhoo, rapidly moving on (and changing the subject)..... I've got that crappy fault with mine too where there are lines on the screen in Prog Scan. Never got round to doing owt about it but reading this thread reminded me to sort it.
