how can you stand the AOL software crap you seem to have to run to go online? we had it on dialup when we first moved in here and it drove me round the bend!

                2Mb BTOW.

Waiting for the tossers to bring in the caps - then likely off to Pipex.

                    I don't use it, I have a dial-up connection I created myself.

I never understood why anyone would choose AOL. 'Amateurs Online' is what it stands for, doesn't it? Just amazes me how whenever I'm doing business on eBay and I get one of those glorious illiterate emails with absolutely no punctuation, wildly incorrect grammar, and laughable spelling the sender is always, absolutely always on AOL. That and their TV ads are amongst the most irritating.

I'm on 2mb Telewest cable, which they have recently rebranded 'Broadband Elite!'. Sounds a bit rich for something so slow. Why is it the US, Japan, and countries in mainland Europe can get much quicker connections for the same or lower cost?

Never had a single prob with it. Very happy with the service and quality, wouldn't change if I was paid. And i'm oh-so sure you've actually tried it out and based your criticism on that experience. Yeah, right.
