    cheers!

i do understand your point, but ive only just started collecting video game merchandise recently and this has already happened a couple of times with parcel force.

it's the lying that i'm pissed off about and i know i will have to use them many times in the future.

I dont like being ****ed over, i take great offence by it and therefore will do whatever i can to turn the tables!

i've sent email after email, phonecalls and threats, and it got me nowhere!

This is not some small amature business, so they should stop acting like one.

This might sound really silly, but erm (I feel stupid even asking) did you ever go into the depot and ask face to face? Also, what did you say on the phone calls, did you ask for redelivery? You can also ask for local collect and for a charge of 50p they drop the item to your local post office and you can collect it from there. (I'm not certain PF do that but normal post/packets we do).

They aren't acting like an amateur business really, if the public only knew the pressure these guys are under, Parcel Force are really hard working people usually with impossible targets to reach.

Oh yeah, and you haven't been ****ed over, the posty who gets collared for (what sounds to me like) accidentally forgetting to leave a docket, thinking he's done it but forgotten will be the one who get's ****ed over

      Off topic:

I keep saying this but its true : Just recently (in the past few years) the rules have changed, the "laws" as such (not legal ones, just laws within RM) have changed, the goalposts have been significantly moved impossibly far away. NONE of this excuses poor service I admit, but when you are faced with having to do a lot of overtime just to finish a standard job you become knackered, again I'm not excusing it. I just feel like, thanks to the media and the regulator people hate us nowadays when we used to be valued members of the community.

When I first started I'd chat for ages to customers now they just ask me about "That program where the guy's are stealing mail" or "You're late today". We know we're late, we don't enjoy being on delivery until 2-3pm. Funny enough I used to think the point of a postman was delivering the post early in the morning, haha, thing of the past, thanks regulator.

Sorry, went off on a rant there!

Yep, this works for Parcelforce items too. If I miss a delivery, I just arrange to collect it from the local PO for 50p.

Thought so, but being a postman and not a PF worker I wasn't sure if they used all the same products etc, it's a really good idea to use it because it means if the depot/delivery office don't open the right hours for you, you can pick it up any time the post office is open...

this is my last post on the subject as i just wanna forget it.

i couldnt go down and collect as i live 20 miles away & with no transport as stated in a previous post.

i wasnt even in a rush for the controller, i'm too busy playing on a metal dance platform for the ddr series

They reason i am angry is because they said over the phone and on track and trace that they definitly took the item to my house serveral times, which was incorrect.

ive been home everyday for the last 2 years! I go out the house twice a week at 6pm. Scary but true!

Think about it, my parcel has been in their hands for 11 days, with no contact at all and no track and trace updates after 3 days!

You never get your emails returned on the parcel force website as many people have said on other threads on this forum about parcel forces crap service.

The sitution the company has got in with postwatch/ customers etc.. is head offices fault! They need more employees. If they continue to carry on in this fashion and no-one complains, then it will more likely get even more slacker than it is now.

It's the trade union's responsibily to stand up, if that has no impact then you must accept the situation you are in with your employers, and if my complaints go unanswerd then i must also accept who i'm dealing with.

So my problem wasnt how slow my item was delivered, it was the fact that i was given the runaround.

Liverpool south customer service promised my item for tuesday when i rang them on the monday. when i rang on tuesday afternoon, they promised me with wednesday morning. At 11.30 on wednesday morning, i rang them again and they rang me back after contacting the driver and said it will now be 3.pm.

the item arrived at the final estimation, but what might have happened if i never rang at all?

sorry but i'm not having it!

I paid AUS$70 for a Soul Calibur 2 poster that was really hard to get from a seller in the UK (I forget the exact name, it had soul in the title, and pictured Ivy and Voldo), and I paid an extra $20 to get it shipped to Australia, thru what ended up being Parcel Force. It arrived about 2 months later, and was literally folded up into a parcel the side of the tissue box. The postman apparently sheepishly handed it to Mum at the door, and according to her seemed kinda happy that I wasn't there. I of course flipped out at blowing AUS$100 on what was now totally destroyed after being intiially in perfect condition in the Ebay photos. I'm still after a good one but I don't like my chances and I'm loathe to risk paying more money for something to only get destroyed again.

Prior to this I got that large foil Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball poster from the USA (Also quite hard to find), which had been sealed in reasonably solid card and had 'FRAGILE - DO NOT BEND' written in a couple of spots on it. And it arrived in absolute perfect condition.

I can also remember having something else sent via Parcel Force in the UK to Australia, a magazine I think. And it came late again, and was folded badly about a third of the way across, which you could see what from the packaging itself and not how the magazine originally.

              I. HATE. PARCEL. FORCE.

And I am loathe to ever order anything via Ebay or otherwise from the UK because of Parcel Force. If I ever consider it, I will always ask if the seller intends to use Parcel Force, and will simply not make the purchase if that's the case.
