The Oppo is definately dual-voltage, just use a travel adaptor.
btw, I got a manual 4-way VGA switcher today.
Suprisingly, it work great! I could see no loss to my eyes, and I did look close, looked at dashboard text, in-game etc. I am quite picky about such things too.
Not bad price, and no power supply needed.
I think with all things VGA, it's the cable that is the difference factor. I've got a few VGA extention cables here which are lossy as heck even at 0.5m.
Make sure to use as little, and as short a cable as possible. For example, instead of using a cable to attatch the switch box to the DVI splitter cable, I just use a gender changer - less cable. Make sure to get decent quality cables, with ferrite cores at both ends.

I was under that impression when I bought it, this is on their website:
Power Supply:
* ~~110V - ~~250V, 50Hz/60Hz AC Universal Power Supply
* Automatic Short Circuit Protection
Edit, here's the reply:
When we were tested for FCC compliance, we only applied for 120V/60Hz (US Standard). Because of this, we are not legally allowed to list 110~240V 50/60Hz on the back of the unit or in the user manual.
However, the internal power supply unit is completely compliant.Last edited by Dazzla; 16-12-2005, 08:29.

Bit of advise from you current LCD owners. When playing DVD's on my new set I'm finding that on most disks includding the likes of SW episode I, I am getting alot of what I would call image noise. It highlights itself especially on whites, but is there to me on all colours. Very hard to describe, but it to me is making the image slightly fuzzy, as colours are not constant solid colours. Notice this mainly when playing DVD's primarily through the Xbox360 atm, and also through my old Sony DVD player. Does not happen with the HD images which I get through the 360, and I'm therefore wondering if this is an issue with displaying current DVD's on the set without upscaling them to 720P.

Once I checked it out. I had a nagging feeling 32" would not satisfed me. I got 590 pounds at the moment. So this mean about 5-6 weeks wait and saving before I can buy it. Still there is no rush.Last edited by Salsa Party Animal; 16-12-2005, 17:30.

I know you wanted the Toshiba a few pages back as an alternative, but I'd easily recommend one or the other depending on your requirements.
If you're going to be watching HDTV from next year onwards with very little/no SDTV, then get the tosh. Otherwise you can't go wrong with this set
Just as a sidenote, consider the GD7E too. It's the model above this (the one i wanted) but I couldn't justify spending a lot more on it, at such a relatively small size (26").Last edited by themanwithapc; 16-12-2005, 22:48.
