Corrupt GC Memory Card

I really wish there was some way to back up the pso save without destroying it. I have collected so much stuf in that game that i couldnt face playing again if i lost it all (my samba maraccas weapon & dreamcast mag are my most prized items)

Now what i do for my prized saves i copy them onto a second memory card.

I know you can get modems for the gamecube but is it just for games or can you actually go online ? (wondered if it was possible to upload saves somewhere)

As far as im aware the modem & BB adapter were only used exclusively for games.

Unless theres someone in the homebrew dev scene coding a net browser for the gamecube.

Was just checking my other memory cards (the official ones) and jsut found out that i had backed up Metroid and Zelda, which was a relief, but then remembered that i didnt backup mario sunshine and luigis mansion.

if only ninty had made a hdd for the gc

Mine claims to be corrupt 1 in 3 attempts, I retry to save and it works every time.

3rd party weirdness.

my 251 with fzero GX almost 100% save got wiped , heartbreaking

Yeah F-Zero is stupid what's the point in making it so i can't copy it to back it up? In case the above happens

Theres a clever trick that works with some copy protected saves.

Basically you load the data on one card, then pull it out after it has loaded & place another card in that you want to copy to then go save your game. If your lucky the game will think its the same card and save or it may ask you if you want to save.

However some games are clever to this trick & wont do it but i managed it with pokemon channel.

However its always risky taking the memory card out while the power is on.
