Bad traders and police. Advice needed

As some of you may be aware, it's looking more & more like I've been rippped off with regards to buying a modded xbox over at rllmuk.
Basically, the money was transferred in to Jetro Jazz's account on the 8th and I've not heard from him since. He refuses to reply to me and has not been on this forum or rllmuk's for a week or 2.
I have correspondence between us relating to the purchase of goods, his account details and home address in Nottingham. If it was just a few quid I'd let it go, but it's ?120.
I'm going to phone the police in Nottingham and was wondering if anybody has had similar dealings with the police?
My other option is to take a few mates to Nottingham and pay him a visit - anybody here live in Nottingham?!

they will call it a civil matter

a parcel i sent to a pal was lost at the hands of parcelforce - abotu 2 weeks later the entire contents of that parcel ended up on ebay

got all the details i needed and the police werent interested

bunch of pals might be the best optionor a small claims court

that username sounds familiar does the guy visit these forums as theres a member by the username of " jethro jazz" http://ntsc-uk.domino.org/member.php?u=2136 and the location says nottingham so might be the same person ?

i'd go around and see him unless hes gave you a fake address

Yeah like people have said just go round and pay him a visit with some mates, id make sure not to go alone like just in case he gets aggresive or anything.

yeah, it's the same person. It's a valid address, I was given it by someone who managed a successful trade from him about 2 weeks ago.

I understand that, it's just whilst we were discussing delivery and payment he made no mention of going away and was regular with his pm's until the money was transferred in to his account. No contact with him after that...

...do know that if you are going to pay him a visit (with some pals) that you are very likely to end up in a position where he can press charges against you. and that's proabably something the police are going to be interested in... :/

I think I've found out where he works, would anybody be able to pass on a message? Basically, remind him to get this sorted & check his pm's. Maybe you'll discover he's on holiday?! It's low risk.
