UK PAL Xenosaga 2 out. It is special edition?

I ordered mine from Tesco online using the voucher for ?23.61.

One is the far better game..although the battle system is slightly more interesting in two.

Two is good but missing something some how...the original is as much an experience as a game

Are you sure the bonus DVD is episode 1 footage? I looked at the back cover, and there was no indication of what was on that DVD. I actually had the impression it was Ep2 movies.

By the way, the PAL XS ep2 packaging has got to be the loveliest game packaging I've seen on PS2. I wanted to buy it, even though I already own the US version (still shrinkwrapped).

And I prefer Ep1's art style over Ep2. It's very difficult to adjust to the realistic style, because that isn't how you remembered the characters to look. I wouldn't mind it if the first episode looked like that as well, but I don't get why they chose to change it. They said it was because the story was more mature and dark, and it needed a realistic look... but it's not like the first game didn't have a dark or mature look. The anime style still worked well. Some characters had big eyes, but others like Albedo, Gaignun and Ziggy didn't. As a result, those characters are the only ones I can take seriously in XS2. Everyone else just looks weird. And the voice acting definately sucks in Ep2. They should have got the same people.

I thought they were the same voice actors but the voice acting/sound director person was different

Most of the character's voices have changed. Most of those changes are for the worse. The only notable returning cast are Ziggy, Albedo/Gaignun, and Jr.

Chaos' voice is now monotonous and emotionless. I can't even tell his voice apart from Canaan's. He's really lost a lot of character. In the very beginning when Chaos talks to Canaan, I can't tell their voices apart. If I closed my eyes, I would have thought it was a monologue.

KOS-MOS's voice is definately worse. The first voice was actually cute.
