What are the best games to try with these?
    Time crisis
    Vampire night
    Point blank
    Dino Stalker (sounds like pron)
GUNFIGHTER 2: REVENGE OF JESSE JAMES
    Guncom
    Endgame
    RE: Dead aim
    Ninja assault

How do they compare? I liked confidential misson and house of the dead.

I've ordered that TopGun from play-asia. I'll let you know what it's like.

Oh yeah, let us know if it works!

On a side note, I just read that Time Crisis 3 can only be linked via i.LINK, which has been removed from the PSTwo
Is there no way to play the game on 2 screens with a PSTwo then?

And can the other games be linked?
I've read at hdgames.com that Vampire Night has LAN, though that doesn't mean it's accurate info. Hopefully you can enlighten me.

While we're at it, can we get a complete list of shooters for PS1 and PS2?
I haven't been able to find such a list yet.
What I found so far (concerning PS2), on alphabetical order:

          PS2

          Death Crimson OX+
          Dino Stalker
          Endgame
          Guncom
Gunfighter 2: Return Of Jesse James (no LINK/LAN?)
          Gun Survivor 2
          Gun Survivor 3
          House of the Dead III
          Ninja Assault
          Point blank
          Resident Evil - Dead Aim
          Time Crisis: Crisis Zone
          Time Crisis II
          Time Crisis III (i.LINK)
Vampire Night (LAN according to HDGames.net)
Virtua Cop: Elite Edition (no LINK/LAN?)

              I've played:

Time Crisis 2 - definitive light gun game, I especially like the mini games!
Vampire Night - got slagged off everywhere but I like it, nice atmosphere/music
Ninja Assault - hmmm nope it just never clicked.
Dino Stalker - didn't get on with this for long either.

Yes, you need 2 iLink compatible PS2 consoles to enjoy full multiplayer TC2 and TC3 experience. The iLink port was also removed on the later versions of the original style PS2 as well (the ones that had a quieter drive and Progressive Scan DVD playback).

I remember rushing to Trafford Centre the night before the new models were due to be released so I had a spare iLink compatible console for Time Crisis link sessions.

Vampire Night does not support LAN/iLink as it has no need to. Both players share the same screen (ala Virtua Cop/House of the Dead). In fact the entire game is just HOTD with vampires instead of zombies.

Also, another light gun game missing from your lists is Crisis Zone. It's a fantastic conversion of a fantastic game, but does lose out to the arcade slightly due to the lack of a replica SMG.

Didn't Crisis Zone only have 1 player mode?
Do most shooters just share a full screen for 2 players?
In that case I guess I better give up then on LAN/i.LINK Shooters, it isn't worth the effort then.

Yes, Crisis Zone is 1 player only (although you can play Story Mode with 2 guns but you still have 1 set of lifes). However I suggested it as I didn't think your list was only 2up light gun games (certainly you already have a few games listed that are 1up only).

Also, take HOTD3 off your list. It is Xbox only and not PS2.

Well, I'd like a complete list, but I'm more interested in 2 player games
                          I myself have:
                          - Time Crisis III
                          - Virtua Cop: Elite Edition
                          - Gunfighter 2: Return Of Jesse James

Maybe I'll split my list later up in 1p and 2p games

Also, do PS2 guns work with PS1 games?

My Topgun has arrived. It's really very good. It works on the PS2, Xbox or PC. There are two infrared emitter strips that you blutac to either side of the screen. You have to make sure the right plug is in the correct usb port on the ps2, but other than that, very easy to set up. The calibration is part of the gun, not the game. The laser pointer really helps you calibrate properly. Oh, the laser adjusters drift slightly after moving them on mine, so give them a few seconds to calm down before deciding it's stopped. Looking down the barrel really gets things bang on.

It has a recoil mechanism powered off the 2nd usb port or xbox socket which is cool.
The laser pointer can be turned off after calibration.

As far as I can make out, this gun is essential for anyone with a flat panel or projector (works up to 60" with the emitter strips outside the screen, or apparantly if your screen is bigger like on a projector, you can place them on the screen perhaps a wall?). I'm using it on my 32" CRT. The bigger the screen, the further away you have to be.

All good so far. I'll update if I get any calibration drift etc.
For ?24 including deliv, you cannot go wrong!
