I currently use Nildram's Surf500 package (?22.99 per month, 512kbps). Don't suppose there's anything equivilent that faster, cheaper and uncapped?

www.adslguide.org.uk - Remember the cheapest is not always the best. Most ISPs on ADSL are providing 1 - 8mb packages but remember the speed will depend on the distance from the exchange.

i'm currently on bt yahoo broadband 2mb with a 40gig limit per month which is 29.99 per month which is abit much now and i'm looking for a better deal
i've looked at nildram, zen, eclipse but cant decide ?

do i need to get a mac code or isn't it needed anymore ?

usually takes 28 days to migrate from one provider to another. if you don';t use a mac code you'll need to wait until your broadband is disconnected from your current provider until you can reconnect it with a new one. be warned that isps do not legally have to provide you with a mac code, and not all do!

I migrated from Pipex to be*. Pipex were pretty reluctant to give me a migration code, I called them 3 times over a two week period each time they said the code would be emailed to me within three working days. When I finally got the code the account was terminated on the last day of the paid month and be* was connected the very next day.
Be* is costing me ?20 a month for a 19.5Mb down, 1.3Mb up service. Speeds are solid downloading at over 2,000k/sec at any time of the day and uploading at 120k/sec. So far the service has been reliable too, with only one outage that I'm aware of since the beginning of November.

I've just changed to UKOnline in the last 10 days, been quite impressed with the service so far.
?30 a month, unlimited for ADSL2 on the 22 Meg package. Never had anywhere near 22 meg really but have had some impressive speeds. I'm happy with it. Changed from BT Yahoo when I got a ?170 bill for going over my download limit 8)

I migrated to UKOnline 8megs Unlimited 2weeks ago, and it's been HELL!
My connection keeps going off, and I'm lucky if it ever works. I have spoken to them twice and they have said they have an on-going software problem which has been an issue for months, and their engineers are working on it.
They never warned potential customers the service wasn't working properly, so I'm really pissed off. In fact, I am really angry and bemused by the whole situation.
The monkeys I have spoken to just say " Sorry Sir! " and read out some company statement which says " This is an on-going problem which we aim to resolve "
I asked one Guy how long it's been an issue, and he was very hesitant, but I said " before xmas? " and he said " Yes.. Sir! "
Why the hell are they allowing people to sign-up for a service which is severely broken? They should warn people, but they just want our money!
What can I do? Is there a quick way to migrate, because my connection is literally driving me nuts!

I may be lucky with UK Online. I guess that I live in the same street as the main BT Exchange probably helps. I haven't had it drop out yet.
Bulldog is to be avoided at all costs IMO. I tried to sign up with them, got billed for about 8 months when they never actually provided me with ANY service, including a nice random bill for ?130 one month. Of course, no chance of a refund and their customer service is the worst of any company I have EVER dealt with, not just in ISP's.
