Bulldog user here, signed up last April, got the ?17.50 for (then) 4MB. Monthly contract but you need to be moved from the BT line to Cable & wireless at your exchange, if its an option (check http://www.samknows.com/broadband/) and your phone goes via them, for ?10.50 a month.

Service, well when it goes wrong, support varies from useless to pure incompetent. Took me a good few weeks to get my initial problems (line was set at 8000kps and too nosy, also had voicemail problems).

They now do a flat 8MB service, but I don't think my line will do much more than 4MB, which is fine anyhow.

    Cheap, cheerful and fast.

If you use Bittorrent it's a bit rubbish, since that is heavily throttled. But for the price it's very impressive, I think.
It is capped (for P2P, FTP and BT AFAIK).

              ^ What he said.

A friend of mine is on the 'uncapped' Plus.net. After they have downloaded 100GB their bandwidth drops to the speed of a 56k modem for the rest of that month.

When I finally got the code the account was terminated on the last day of the paid month and be* was connected the very next day.

Be* is costing me ?20 a month for a 19.5Mb down, 1.3Mb up service. Speeds are solid downloading at over 2,000k/sec at any time of the day and uploading at 120k/sec. So far the service has been reliable too, with only one outage that I'm aware of since the beginning of November.

                yosai,where in London are you?

Not that i want to come round for tea, just wondered if B* would work aswell as far N.London as i am.

May try them out. Been with Bulldog for 3 yrs now and am on a seriously outdated package which they wont change unless i pay ?60,plus the telephone people are a right bunch of 'back to fronts'.
