    Parcel Force

    Hi,

If I'm having something delivered via. Parcel Force to my home address and I'm not there will it return to the PF depot or get dropped off at my local Royal Mail sorting office?

    Cheers,
    Dave.

You actually expecting it to turn up?

By default, and certainly it applies to anything I've had delivered, if they can't deliver it (due to no one being in, or charges to be paid) it's been kept at the Parcel Farce depot. I believe you can contact them to have it delivered to the Post Office after that, but not as a primary directive.
Lie with passion and be forever damned...

I think that if you are out when they attempt delivery then standard practice is that they'll try to deliver it again the next working day. If you're out on the 2nd attempt you'll then need to phone them up to arrange another delivery*.

*If you miss that date then they'll jump on your parcel until it's broken into tiny pieces andfeed it through your letterbox (or so I'm told!).

Yes, they do this even if you phone them specifically after the first delivery saying that attempting the day after will be pointless and will pick it up instead.

            ****ing useless PF.

i've had good couple of times with parcel force one time they were banging on the door at 7am. i was pissed off but soon cheered up when i opened it up and it was some games i wasn't expecting

other time completely missed getting charged tax and vat which would have been 40 quid

just get it delevered to the local post office so you can collect if you want

Luckily the sound driver came back after I'd finished work and tried me again as he'd called in the morning just after I'd set off.

Got the DS Lite though - brandishing a nice dead pixel.

Idiot Parcelforce phone guy though - everything you guys have said above.... well, he wasn't like that - totally unamicable. If the posty wasn't a sound guy I wouldn't have gotten this until Saturday earliest as that's the only time I can spend an hour on the train to Preston - then I'd be missing Crisp_Rappers meet. :/

I find parcel force fine so far, and if they can't deliver to you, they would try to leave it next door neighbour. They also always deliver around 2-3pm in the afternoon. Don't know why though. But it is handy for me as I can arrive home from my job.

Parcelfarce have actually dumped deliveries of mine in my bin before when I've been out. And sometimes not even stuck a note through the door to let me know it's "safely" been deposited in there. I check it out of paranoia now.

Dredging up this poxy Parcel Force thread to get some advice - I ordered some goods that were for a Christmas present for someone. Shipped by Parcel Force. Goods never arrived so I checked the tracking and it says they were delivered and someone I've never heard of signed for them. I checked a list of all of my neighbours and the name doesn't show up on that.

So it looks like they were delivered to completely the wrong address and they let any old gob****e sign for them in spite of the fact that it wasn't addressed to them. How they can do that is beyond me.

                          What do I do?

You need to contact the person who sent it to you and they have to claim back from parcel force

Sorry for the bump, but I think this is the best place for my rant. Once again Parcelforce seem to have dicked me over with a package.

Not content with holding my PS3 in a depot for 3 weeks due to a customs charge, but not actually telling me until I invetsigated it myself, they now seem to have taken the next step towards incompetency and delivered a packagae of 4 games from NCSX to a completely wrong address on the other side of the country.

Obviously, I'm a bit concerned but also slightly confused. I got the tracking number for the package from NCSX and tracked it yesterday which showed no progress since 19th June. However trying again this morning shows a number of updates to Tracking Status from between 26th - 28th June and it states delivery was made. However, the delivery postcode was for Cambridge (I live in Warrington) and it has been signed for by a name I do not recognise (oviously as I don't live in Cambridge).

What is confusing is that when I enter the tracking number into the system, the parcel number that comes up is a completely different 13 digit number. Is this normal for international parcels?

Hopefully this will have a happy ending but I'm not confident.
