epsxe really is the best, you can download it already set up with the best plugins etc, just google a little harder

It's great, I've been enjoying something of a little PS1 renaissance with my new PC in the front room and a 360 wired pad!

epsxe is by far the best emulator and IS easy to use,been using it for years.neway, the problem probably isn't with the emu itself, but that it is a pal copy of final fantasy ix.you can get a ppf patch from www.megagames.com/psx (if you don't know how to use a ppf patch, check out the engines here www.megagames.com/psx/psx_ppf.shtml) it should then work with whatever emu you use.btw, on a side note,VGS is pretty dire, the graphics are terrible and it is kind of illegal as it is hacked and bits and bobs.plus, you can get some excellent graphics from ffix using epsxe, if you use the right settings.not hard to do, just checkout a couple of sites like www.ngemu.com or www.emutalk.net
