        you might have to repair your xp afterwards so it actually boots

        it all depends what boot loader you used, the vista or xp one.

          an easy way to delete the partition is to click start,right click my computer,left click manage then click disk management.you can then delete the partition.

          if your bootloader keeps giving you the option of xp or vista.boot from your xp disc,go to repair console and use fixmbr then fixboot to go back to booting xp only.
