I assume I need to buy a emulator or something for that, are the results any good?

The bog standard wired 360 pads work on the PC, MS even have official drivers. They're just straight USB.

You just plug the pad in and Windows Update will pick it up, though the drivers are avaliable to download on the MS page itself somewhere.

Alternatively, there is a third party driver which supposedly had improved deadzone and other things http://redcl0ud.1.forumer.com/index.php?showtopic=1173
I use this with Outrun C2C and it's brill, though I've not tried the official MS ones to compare.

It's all part of a unified driver MS is pushing with XP, Vista and the 360. In theory, if third parties use the driver, you just plug in the controller/steering wheel/whatever, games (like Outrun) can be programmed to auto-configure... no calibration crap, no having to mess with the controls because of wierd button layouts, and full cross-compatibility between Windows and the 360 for all devices.

That's the idea anyway. For now, all I know is it works great with Outrun with no need to caiabrate or mess with the controls.

                Cheers

Ive seen it for sale at 17.99 on amazon - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...lance&n=300703

Seems to be 24.99 most other places, I expect tomorrow Ill have a look round the high street to see if I can pick one up there to avoid all the posting hassle though.

If you aren't desperate for a pad straight away (but I'm guessing you are), then the official wireless PC adapter should be out by the end of the year. That'll allow you to use your wireless 360 pads on your PC.

Ill grab one before then I think, although (deviating somewhat), I must admit after finding out the PC OR2C2C doesnt have any configurable video settings that I can see, Im in not so much of a rush now (I was hoping to play it high res etc). I guess the same is likely for DM3 on PC..?

You can play Outrun C2C in any resolution you want.
I play it in 1360x768 with FSAA turned on, looks great.

Haha thats flipping fantastic - I so wanted to play OR2C2C but was really put off by the horrible jaggies on my Xbox one, this is just about perfect now, running it at 1360 x 720 FSAA, looks gorgeous

I have the XBox as well as the PC one, and the PC one really is miles better visually. Besides from the obvious benefit of higher resolution and FASS/AF etc, the draw distance is quite incredible. Runs 60fps on my machine (and my machine is quite dated now, building a new one in August), and the 5.1 sound works when I set my X-Fi card to Game mode. Good stuff.

The only real critisism I have with the port is the HUD and menu's are low resolution regardless of what you set the game to. Obviously this doesn't effect the actual game or anything.

Have you tried DMC3 on PC?

Also, how does the XB360 pad cope with things like FEAR? I imagine it not to be as precise as required by fast paced games like say Quake 3, but more slower titles like FEAR must be pretty much perfect do you think?
