Do any of you who use a 360 pad use any software to make it compatible with games? FEAR for example, Ive managed to get it workable on the pad but it doesnt recognize the triggers at all. Ive 5-6 other games to try, and I expect there to be similar problems there also.

It might be that the game jsut doesn't use gamepad.
Not tried this myself, but here's an app to map keyboard inputs to gamepad http://www.redcl0ud.com/controlmk/index.html

I dont understand how it works, and to be honest it seems to be way too much effort for me at the moment.. one of the reasons I stopped playing PC games was because I dont have the time to spend hours setting up a game before I can play it :/
DMC for example, I can move dante up and down, but not left of right, Ive lost the will to try and work out what to do though by now..
If only they all worked like Out Run :/

Having got myself in a slightly better mood now (bloody football) I gave this another go, I found software called pinnacle game profiler which operates initally on a trial basis, but if the early signs are anything to go by Ill be paying the 19usd for this. Reassuringly, it has built in capability specifically for the 360 pad, and after some basic config the program scanned for my existing games, and downloaded profile mappings automatically for them. Just tried FEAR and it seemed fine initially, whilst it also has picked up HL2. Things are looking up a bit anyways

Not quite on topic, but almost!
Regarding the 360 wired pads on the PC, when I was in HMV Oxford Street the other week, I remember seeing 360 pads, packed in the usual Red MS packaging like all their keyboards and mice do, and it was sold as a PC pad - so I presume it comes with some specific software and perhaps more detailed instructions?!

Just get the normal 360 version and get the drivers from the net, the pads themselves are identical.
