PSP firmware 2.5/2.6 to 1.5 firmware downgrader?

    That's not a downgrader, that's an exploit which means homebrew applications in kernel mode on ANY version (<=2.8 ). Great news for me since I borrowed my PSP to my friend (first and last time), guess what he did

      Excellent news.

      But what does this mean for me and my v2.71 PSP?

      Can I run emulators now (and if so how?), or do I need an eloader or what?

      Sorry if these are daft questions, but I have no idea what's going on when it comes to PSP emulation.

        I don't think you can yet but this is a first step. A downgrader shouldn't be far behind.
