How much did you pay for your KDL-46X2000 ? Just interested to know. Maybe I could upgrade my LCD TV in 3 years time.

They're just under ?3k, although a shop was selling them for around ?2600 a few weeks back, iirc.

I had been considering buying one, but if I spend that much on a TV, it would have to last a lot longer than it would with me. (in a year or two, 8ms will seem slow and I'd be kicking myself for buying a display that can't do 1080p24sF, 1080p48/72.)

I can see why you would want 1080p for PS3, but I didn't think Sky HD outputted in anything more than 720p or 1080i?

Sky is broadcasting in 1080i, so a 1080p set is the way to go if you plan on getting it.

It doesn't look like 720p will be used as a broadcast format in europe now.

Weird question: Is there any hdtv available that has a native resolution of 1280 x 720 (same as xbox)?

I want to get this tv and I saw a previous model by the same manufacturer in a shop running an xbox360 and looked fantastic, but can the image look even better if the hdtv has a native resolution of 720p?

edit - I am only going to use it for the 360 and maybe ps3 anyway. PS3 native res will be 720p right? the 1080p is only for watching blue ray movies and only some devs will support it as 1080p as it's an unrealistic standard to expect this generation additional processing required to push for 1080p would require a game to degrade when compared to the same game running at only 720p (if there was no 1080p counterpart).
