With regards to Error Code 32002, Im not sure that means your system is faulty. I had that pop up a minute ago while updating the system, since it took ages, so I started bricking it. But going to the Nintendo site, they say change the Channel of your Wireless Router to 1 or 11. I changed mine to 11 and the updates zipped along and havent had any problems since, even purchased stuff off the VC fine.

      PAL VC games

Has anyone downloaded a PAL virtual console game yet? Are they, as expected, in 50hz with black borders on the top and bottom of the screen?

Yes, has been confirmed for several VC games

            Anyone tried Gamecube yet?

I just had a quick blast on Burnout and to get it back to the wii screen I expected to be able to press home on the wiimote. Didn't work and so does that mean you have to reset the console when playing Gamecube game in order to change games / get to the wii menu?

Yes it does, the remote turns itself off when the machine flips into Cube mode.

Cheers, seems a bit clumsy but not too bad.

Can you use a debit card to purchase Wii points? I ask this as apparently you cannot on the 360 (Don't buy many MS points :P)

If the diagram posted on the GameSX forum is correct, then the answer to this is no, unfortunately. The pins that are used for RGB on EU Wiis output svideo on US ones.

I'm not convinced by the picture earlier in this thread showing the DAC being the same as the one in the GC lead. They don't appear to have the same number of pins, for one thing. Probably similar chips, but I don't think they're the same.

Thanks for this info James, in that case, Plan B.

If James is correct then people wanting to play their US Wiis over RGB SCART will theoretically need to:

                      1. Get a component cable
                      2. Attach it to a Component to SCART block (or snip the ends of the cables and solder them on to the correct pins of a SCART connector)
                      3. Modify the Wii itself to flip between RGB and YPbPr mode on the video chip (bottom right pin, if it's the same as the GameCube DAC)

...But that won't cover the Composite Sync that RGB SCART needs, will it?

Yep. Used mine to buy points on my US machine.

since it's 150 watts that surely would do.
