    Wiimote Batteries?

    Hi there,

For those of you who have their Wiis already, how long did it take you to go through the batteries that come with the Wiimote?

Any good rechargable batteries that you'd recommend?

Any good deals you've seen somewhere?

    Links are very much appreciated

I don't own the Wii, but there was poll about this in Penny Arcade forums. In general, batteries lasted 25-30 hours, which is pretty decent, especially when you consider that they were pack-in batteries.

I've been playing for over 10 hours now with the bundled AA batteries and it is still showing as 4 bars out of 4 in the battery indicator on screen!

I recommend Sony 2500 mAh rechargable batteries. These were always great when used with the wavebird. I would say I get 30-40 hours out of one charge.

This guy normally sells em on buy it now:

Fast delivery from HK, maximum cheapness!

            Thanks everyone

Allyourbase, for the ones you posted, where can I get the charger and how much would it cost?

            Edit:
And how long do you reckon it would take to be delivered to UK?

You can get the charger here:

(thou the batteries included are 2300 mAh, I have a set of these also and there isn't really a difference between these and the newer ones tbh)

I expect even those cheapo Uniross chargers at Argos will be as good though??!

                  USB charged batteries

only 1300 mah, but the convenience of just plugging it in a usb port on ur pc is top.

I don't know when it will be available but Joytech are releases these recharging units:

                      Joytech Wii Power Station

Actually, I think I'd prefer to go with rechargeable batteries since you can use 'em for other things too. I'm surprised Nintendo haven't mentioned anything about a charging unit similar to the XB360 one.

the batteries i got with me wii are panasonic ones, the idea of teh batteries running out has worried me though. Imagine in the heat of battle when yah suddenly lose control? Grr.......

But they seem to last a while as imine are still at the top of the bar. I think i need re chargable ones lol. Imagine the chaos with 4 wii motes thats like 8 batts!
