Xbox softmod - Any tutorials???

Useful Information - I've already got a softmodded xbox and was recently asked to do a friends. I attempted to copy the existing softmod files onto the Memory card but was told it didn't have enough space.

Confused I set out to find out why.

When you do the softmod it actually extracts the files needed, hence why I couldn't copy it across.

In other words if you're taking the files off an already modded xbox to do another one, FTP over the untouched exploit rather than one thats been used before.

The clock loop can be a pain in the arse, much better to get an executer chip as you can ftp via the chip and dont have to fart about with loads of files.
All thats on my xbox is the xbmc.xbe on the C partition and two folders in the F partion - one for media center and one for media. No microsoft code at all.
Dont think its live safe lol

DVD playback in the latest build is very good.

Personally I'd avoid using Softmod Installer Deluxe in all it's forms. I know plenty of people have used it ok, but there are numerous accounts of it screwing up mid-mod, and Nknave 4+ is supposedly the worst yet, because it's based on SID still.
I used Krayzies Ndure, which gave me dual boot (XBMC & a Live-Safe Official MS Dash) as well as a shadow C Drive (so you can't screw it up even if you try).
