PS2 to USB Controller Converters

I've got one from PEGA (http://cgi.ebay.nl/PS2---PS3-Control...QcmdZViewItem), but it didn't work with Guitar Hero

Did anyone get it to work with any version yet?

Actually I should state 'my question' as "Is it possible to use a PS2 Guitar Hero controller with a ps2 --> ps3 converter for GHIII PS3 version?" or does that have no chance at all?

Has anyone tried using a negcon with one of these USB converters, thinking of picking one up for Ridge Racer & Revolution. I've have tried a Pega one with my The Music Maestro Controller and it just seems to set it up as a standard pad so the buttons aren't mapped correctly so was wondering if theres any adaptors out there that may work with non standard controllers.
