How would I transfer the file across from PC to PS3? Or is it possible to dl straight to the PS3?

I use an external HDD to transfer files to/from the PS3. I'm sure USB pen drives would work too. If you have a 60GB model you can use the card reader.

As far as I know you can't download directly to the PS3 via the browser.

Aslo bear in mind that when you unzip the save file it'll be a directory called "BCJS30003_PROFILE" containing another directory called "BCJS30003_PROFILE" with the save stuff inside. Make sure you only copy the second directory containing the save stuff over otherwise the PS3 won't read the save.

That's a question that could take all day to answer. In short, the home nation thought it was unacceptable to have blood in it.

I think you've just answered your own question. If you don't mind it missing then it shouldn't make a difference to you if its there or not.

              thanks guys for the replys!!
cheers pacrifice, think i am 99% sure i am gonna get one, either from NCS or i have family in hong kong but have to look into how they will send it etc ($3780 HK around ?260 not bad! but of course p+p and maybe customs etc)

and yeah spatial i did answer my own question eh i usually turn off gore in games, i think its sometimes over the top and unneeded (gears of war is a fine example, great game but the gore is crazy!!)

cheers again people, will let u know if i get one or wait till march...............

just a note about ncsx.com, they're real safe! They sent out my PS3 and they marked it down to $200 and i was lucky to not get stung by customs.

As they couldn't authorise my UK mastercard, they wanted me to scan and email images of the front of my statement, the front and back of my card. I did that, and the next day my PS3 was shipped.

                Hopefully, this info will help.

By the way, i ordered my games from yesasia separately. They do free delivery and they pay the VAT/Duty so you don't have to worry about customs.

Ok, so I dowloaded the US save file to my Ipod in disk mode. The PS3 doesn't recognise any saves though.Any help much appreciated:

                  1) Is there a specific folder I should be creating on the ipod to put the data into?

                  2) I presume I use the save data utlity on the PS3 to read the data?

                  Thanks.

                    1) I have a folder called "PS3", with a subfolder called "SAVEDATA". It's been a while since I created it, so I can't remember if I did it out of choice or it was required.

                    2) Yes, you should see the USB device there, selecting it will show the saves that are on it.

I had to do the same thing aswell. but i didn't have a scanner, i had to use my camera phone to do it. They were fine with it and shipped it pretty quick, its due to be delivered tomorrow. I think i have about ?45 customs to pay, i did ask them to mark it down. I think thats bloody good considering.

Cool - I'll give that a go in a sec. Can anyone tell me whether Resistance's MP mode is dependent on version? I've got an Asian version, and the online MP looks like it only has Asian games being played. Can anyone confirm this?

Ok, so I've found the save ok. I've deleted all the save stuff from the Asian game, and copied the US file over to in the save game utility. On starting, it looks the same to me. Should the difference in blood etc be immediately apparent on the first level? If it's not working, what am I doing wrong?

Actually, could this not working have anything to do with the disc being Asian and not Japanese?

I forgot about this part, as I copied over the save before I first played Resistance. Basically the game runs the region check the first time you play it and installs a chunk of data, that data includes the instruction to censor it (I think).

Resistance has two saves on the machine. One will be inside Saved data utility (a few kb) and the other is in Game data utility (129MB). Delete both, copy over the US save file, then boot the game.

EDIT: Also, yes, the blood will be there from the very first skirmish.

Yeah, tried that but no dice. Just to check - what version PS3 and game are you running? I suspect it's this that is the issue. Am I right in thinking that you have a US game with JPN PS3? I have a HK game with JPN PS3...

When I boot the game, there is no option to continue etc, just new game. And as I posted above, the first level still seems bloodless.
