I actually went to open the picture of his mess of wires in a background tab, and when I switched to it, must have clicked on the wrong one. That could have been very embarassing if I wasn't at home.

I dont seem to remember that picture being there when I first saw it either, and it says his post was edited later this morning.

If you're still having trouble getting the component cable to work on the PS2, make sure the Y/Yr/Yb option is selected instead of RGB in the PS2 Menu.

but, to be honest, i can't quite unterstand why this picture should be inappropriate for this site!? this is far from being porn stuff and was mainly used by me to demonstrate the HD potential of the TV while at the same time being an eye catcher.

if more people feel the same about this issue or maybe there are any female members feeling discrimianted then please let me know and i will censor the pic or exchange it for another one. no problem.

you have very good eyes! it's indead "Der Herr der Ringe - Die zwei T?rme". i used it to check if the PC DVD picture via DVI-D is significantly better than from my DVD player via component YUV. well, it is!

i guess what you are thinking is these Ikea stands actually come with only two shelves. and unfourtunately Ikea doesn't sell them as extra. i've stolen one from one of their exhibition stands - but don't tell anyone

the lights in the tree is just a light chain you can buy in every DIY centre. but if you prefer to see it as Christmas lights, why not.

btw: i compared the display quality of my TV to my brother's HDTV (720p) which is the same size (42") and found that from a distance of 2 metres you simply can't spot a difference in detail. did a close up from the screen showing the HD image. even this doesn't look too shabby i think
