I used to have my PS2 going horizontally, but the unit started having a lot of problems reading discs in that position later on, so I switched to vertical. It's been fine ever since, but after moving my things around I'm in the opposite predicament to you, and can't have it sitting vertically, so it HAS to be run horizontally.

Well I came to the whole 'heat' thing with the PS2 when I installed a 300GB HDD in there! Kinda became paramount them, and since the HDD would sit at the bottom of the machine, the place where heat cannot escape, kinda saw the logic in what people were telling me all the years about using PS2's verically.

Awful photos as they were taken on my camera phone, but a rockin 360 setup. Unfortunately, not mine. I work in an audio visual store and we got one to show off high def plasmas and projectors.

The thing looks great sitting flat, with the arched base. Plus you can avoid the old wobbly disc and tray.

Here's mine, sitting next to my TV on me cabinet. Was gonna put it inside the cabinet in replacement of me xbox but i have seen the 360 standing up so much have gotten used to it that way, think its cool that way too.
