C_S, if you're looking for a good TV why not try the Samsung series 5 or 6 sets. They're both 1080p capable and available in 37".

One other thing, if your PS3 and media centre are connecting to the Internet through the homeplug adapters, the gigabit switch is kinda wasted, as you won't get anywhere near 1GBps speeds over them. You might be just as well using fast ethernet and saving the money. I'd doubt you'd notice any real performance deficit

They fatboy beanbags look the biz. I'v only got a two seater sofa in the games room so was looking for a couple of beanbags so they don't have to be lying around all the time.

Yeah I'm looking at the samsungs, good get a good deal I think.

The GB network is only needed for the PS3 to Media Server network. The 360 downstairs only supports 100mbs.

The internet side is not relevant, as I wanted the fast network for copying files from my media server to the PS3. So the local LAN down there is using the extra speed. It's not often I copy files over, usually camera pics, but the extra speed is welcome.

But yeah, the homeplugs are max 200mbs so I agree 100% if it was just the internet line extension that was important in the equation.

        Thanks for the feedback though!

        Cheers

People with 1080P Panasonic Plasma TV. How good is it with PS2 games, XBOX, Wii games, DVDs and SDTV stuff.

Just like to know. as my 720P LCD TV doesn't like PS2 / XBOX / Wii game as much as 360/PS3/DC/Blu ray/HD DVD.

                    My personal $hit heap

All of my gaming stuff is scattered around the room, this is just the stuff I use most.

I am an avid beat 'em up fan.

It handles SD stuff a lot better than my old LCD used to. Freeview (through SCART) looks better than it did, despite the fact that it's much bigger. Not to say that it won't make you wish you had HD TV service, though

The only other SD stuff I've used has been PS2 games and DVDs. They looked decent, but they were both upscaled (PS3 and DVD player respectively) so I can't really talk about the scaling performance of the TV. Haven't tried the Wii on it yet.
