Buster almost won the thread. Get rid of those glass stands the TV is on and then you can claim your crown

Nice game collection from buster but Akihabara won the thread back in 2010:

Friendly Import video game discussion forum, informative reviews, NTSC (Japan / US) and PAL - BordersDown (previously known as NTSC-uk)

Yep, that was my favourite ever.

Haha, I have the 22" version of that but it has a black surround. It's a good little set but I had some awful problems with trailing blacks on mine.

I have the 32" with a black trim/frame wall-mounted in the bedroom too. I originally wanted it the other way around (all white 32" in the bedroom and white with black frame in the living room) but the Sony store mixed them up and by the time I got them home and noticed they'd sold the last all white 32" and I wanted them different so left it since they were an amazing price (?320 for the ex-display 32" and ?600 for the boxed/sealed 40") which sounds a lot but I'd be lusting over them at ?800 and ?1000 for months.

The blacks are brilliant on the bigger sets? The only problem I have is I had to constantly tinker with the backlight/contrast/brightness/colour settings to get reds just right. :/

At the moment I just have a Red PAL Wii in the AV-unit and an Apple TV2 box hiding under the TV (damn infrared remote!) but hopefully by the end of the year there'll be a Wii U in there too Storage-wise I have the red cabinet below dedicated to gaming, no point really showing contents at the moment as it just contains:

                    8x Wii Games
                    1x Gamecube Game
1x Club Nintendo Gold Wii Wheel
1x Club Nintendo [Japan] Super Famicom Controller
+ a box of Japanese DC games I have in the sales thread.

BUT I'm hoping to fill it with more Club Nintendo Japan stuff and a Jap GBA collection between now and Wii U launch.

That must be the "Other Castle" those Mushroom folks talked about in Mario! You even have a little door near the TV for the Cleaning Elves to gain easy access while you're out/asleep.

Yep, that's the reason I got the TV unit I did. Very nice & hides all cables well.

Finally got round to posting my setup at Casa Del Chopemon.

Apologies for the quality, iPhone in a poorly lit room.

First up, my desk. It is a bit cluttered. I tend to feed several obsessions all at once so my desk always has a pile of books that I use for my projects.

Let's take a look at those books! Ignore the Warcraft books, they are being sold. Had a kick recently going through my old Warhammer books. I love Necromunda, it's the best system GW have ever done. Also been enjoying game art books and as a Lovecraft fan I've been digging the RPG game book.

Some toys on top of my computron. The important one to note is the special edition Halo Mega Blox that I got from Halo Fest at PAX last year. Ignore the fairy lights that are not on. Maybe I should have turned them on. Maybe I should have done a lot of things.

                            #

Random crap on my desk including a 360 with a broken disk drive that (when fixed) will go on my desk at work. You will also see some antibacterial hand gel. I don't like my hands feeling grimy and while I generally don't like people coming round to the flat, sometimes it happens and I need to clean their stinking human filth from me if we shook hands or embraced in anyway (this isn't strictly true, I'm not a weird obsessive about that stuff). Also: that is not a pot of curry sauce that I keep on my desk. It once housed delicious Chinese curry but now houses loose change.

Some toys on my desk along with my Macbook which I bought to dev my iPhone game. Oh look, there's a sticker of it on my Mac.

This is where the Miss Chopemon and I sit and game. Her TV is on the left with her stuff out of shot. Important thing to note in this image: the picture behind the TV is a signed poster of the box art of Rogue Warrior, a 3/10 banger I worked on. It is signed by the guy the game is based on, Richard Marcinko. He has killed people for realsies.

Consoles you can see: PAL 360 slim, JP 360, PAL PS3, PAL PS2 and PS2 Test.

Here is a bookcase, included because it has game books and toys on.

The bottom shelf of the above bookcase along with some of the toys that sit near my TV.

360 games! There used to be a lot more but I recently sold loads off as I didn't need a copy of things like Bulletstorm in my life. Though Tony Hawk Ride is still there. Go figure.

PS2 games, PS2 consoles and graphic novels. And a Christmas card from Miss Chopemon which is apparently still up in April.

Close up on a shelf that shows I almost exclusively read Batman comics.

These are my now playing/to play shelves. The top shelf has some books I need to get to including the Monster Hunter art book and a book of photographs from Japanese sex clubs. It also includes the multiplayer games I regularly play. The Dreamcast Collection has somehow made it on to this pile despite not being multiplayer.

Here are some shelves in the hall. Largely DVDs and CDs and irrelevant to gaming but look! Here are some gaming toys. Goddammit, there's a Spawn toy. Look, I'm 27, not 14. I was 14 once though and though Spawn was WAY COOL and that figure is still way cool. Look at him being all racked with emotional torment and brooding in his cloak.

The Nintendo console shelves. Maybe this collection should be bigger? I don't know. The toys are a Front Mission mech, Isaac from Dead Space in the worst costume he has ever worn and Rikimaru from Tenchu. That box on the left is the HD box thing that my PS2s go into before their signals are converted into VGA. My TV doesn't have component on. You might be thinking that component is standard but it was from 2005 and from an unknown manufacturer (Diboss for life) and I bought it knowing I had to have a HD TV a week before the 360 launch but not doing any research. It's great though, it doesn't have HDMI either so my 360 and PS3 go HDMI into a splitter box which then does into the TV as DVI which also requires separate audio. Great purchase. Really glad I spent zero time finding out about TVs and then making an impulse buy 2 days before a new console launch.

Still a work in progress but pretty much:

                              My Gaming Set-Up

360 set up to a 40inch HDTV with large amounts of open space for the Kinect

                              My Other Gaming Set Up

                              Collectables on a drawer top

Another unit with my PS3, 360 stuff and handhelds

A make do ledge for collecting bits up on

Room fully lit. PS3, PS2 and Wii set up to 40inch 3DTV. Zip cases hidden down the side with hundreds of games tucked away.

Room partial lit (it has different lighting options as it was a second bedroom), wider angle

                              Up close shot

Decided to tidy the retro corner today and ditch the two little side by side units I had for this one big one. I've also decided to ditch the PS3 out of the living room and have replaced it with an onkyo blu ray player to match my amp.
