That's my latest picture, is a little dark, i'll try to get a brighter picture later on. The centre speaker looks tiny for some reason, it's a monster in real life.

What speakers are those? and how do you manage to get the centre one to levitate?

They're Monitor Audio bronze series (http://www.monitoraudio.com) You get absolutely amazing sound out of it, and I don't really need a sub because they handle base so well. Could be up for sale soon too

The centre is actually on a glass shelf like the centre rears are opposite.

A recent pic - don't mention the dust - honest it's not there anymore, well most of it isn't anyway.

do you find having all the other stuff piled around the side can often be offputting? (It's a very nice setup btw) I've always had problems with finding "clutter" around the screen distracting, but I'm hoping to get a decent unit when I redecorate my room next month to store games in. Mind you I've kicked all the retro stuff that was in my room into games room so it already looks tidier, gotta find somewhere for the "spare" consoles though.

Have redone games room "again" so will have to take a pic or 2 of that later, can actually get to the games now.

I can't say that I find having clutter distracting. Tbh, my whole house is full of clutter, you should see the spare room; it's got several Amigas, Ataris, Archimedes, BBC Micros, Spectrums, C64s, Binatones and a whole load of other retro stuff piled on top of each other. It's a real mess.

Well it doesn't look too bad anephric - I find it difficult for there not to be any clutter at all as there's so much stuff and no where to put it. I did get some more shelf space but I'm starting to double up on DVDs per shelf again. I really should just stop hoarding stuff.

                        nice...8)

the rears look too close together..... or are they the centre pair in a 7.1 set up?

oh, and you only think you don't need a sub! once you hear the difference you will never be without one ever.... you will never get the full experience without one trust me, the difference is huge! (if set up correctly)

I've been given permission by the missus to buy a TV for the conservatory.

It seems she's not happy with the main telly being used for gaming when she wants to watch Footballers Wives

Anyway, I'm quite pleased - here is my new setup.

Aye, they're the centre rears. 8)

If I had a sub, I'd have to turn everything down, because as i'm upstairs everyone in the house hears when i'm listening to a film. So I don't think i can get a sub untill I get my own place.

Setup as it is of this morning - about to head out and trade in my Q series floorstanders for some nice KEF 2005.2 eggs - the floorstanders are WAY too big for my room!

                              Panasonic PWD6 Plasma
                              Modded 160gb Crystal Xbox
                              Modded Panasonic Q
                              Sky + 160gb
                              Denon 2805
Pionner 575 (about to be replaced with a denon 2910)

If you look closely on the desk behind you can also make out the White DS and PSP

Thoseoftheunlight... I have the same Ikea unit- got it a few months ago when I did up my room.

Is the Plasma as good as people say? I am definitely going to upgrade to a Panasonic next xmas.
