I've got a few other consoles lying around, but those are the ones I play the most.

SC2 on Xbox runs in 4:3 automatically. So it doesn't have to be 16:9.

That's because XBMC will upscale to 720, so may as well use the feature.

I can't say about how high-def stuff is over component/hdmi, but 720p or native res over VGA can be switched between 4:3 and 16:9, so I assume you can with it over component/hdmi, you certainly can with 480p.

You can change aspect via Component although "officially" 720p is 16:9 as opposed to 4:3

russ - can you confirm to me that the samsung you have does have component inputs - it doesn't say if they do or don't on the empire webby

heres my set up nothing compared to some but here goes

pictures are of my dvd collection (games are kept in the drawers) my set up, my sub and my crappy rears which are held onto the wall, with one screw and some blu tac (hence why they are leaning to one side lol).

Yeah that's right clothes! I wish it was a massive sub for more bass but I think the neighbours would complain too much.

My new setup (just moved to a new flat in West London 2 weeks ago). TV is 28" Toshiba, underneath it are 2 Xbox, Saturn, and DC. Behind is my flatmate's PS2, and a GC. The box to the right has all the controllers in (inc 2 Saturn arcade sticks with magic boxes for the Xbox's). Also now has a Megajet in.
