@angelx - The LCDTopGun is HDTV compatible. I'm playing Time Crisis and Ninja Assault and Point Blank on my HD Plasma right now.
Thanks for the info. How does it work with the PS2 then? Reading the article I was under the impression it was plug and play with USB.

PS2 version of Time Crisis? I really want to play Elemental Gearbolt again, the proper way. Just want to confirm that it has no PS1 support....

Doh, I'm being retarded. Ignore all that. It works on the ps2 via usb fine. So in theory might work with a saturn, but I've never seen a converter. It's just the pc that needs a driver. The ps2 recognises the gun as a guncon. I've not tried it with ps1, but I'm sure it would work (ps1 on ps2). I'll try and check.

Is there any way to get the LCD topgun to work on a Dreamcast?

Got myself one of these, finally. After an hour of wailing and gnashing and calibrating and re-calibrating, trying to get the PS2 working with it, I finally gave up.

Figured I might as well see if worked any better on the xbox. Loaded up HouseOfTheDead3, and got to the calibration screen ... immediately noticed that when I moved the gun left and right, the onscreen pointer jittered up and down, and vice versa ... so I shift the sensor bars from the left and right to the top and bottom of my telly ... hey presto, works ... but not particularly accurate.

So now my telly looks like a right mess with a big sensor on the bottom, one on top, and a Wii sensor on top of that!

Back to the PS2, still nowt ... the pointer seems to be randomly scattering all over the place. Went and had my dinner, came back and tried again, and bingo, it's all working great ... I can only imagine it's due to there being less sunlight in the room than before, but who knows.

So, apart from the aesthetics, just had a very enjoyable game of Time Crisis 2 ... result!

Anyway, I'm only posting this in case someone else decides to buy one and goes through the grief I just had. In summary:

              a) Despite the instructions telling me to put the sensors on the sides of the telly, I apparently had to put them on the top and bottom.
              b) Don't expect it to work particularly well until after 6pm, with all the blinds closed.
              c) When playing, switch off the laser pointer: it's sometimes in line with the true aim, sometimes not ... best not to get over-reliant on it, cos you'll end up missing some of the time.

Thanks for sharing your experience, I bought the gun as well and just could not get it work and refuse to attach those ugly sensors to the side of my TV. :P

Will try top and bottom next.

Weird stuff. Mine works fine day or night and on the sides of the TV. It is very dependent on how close you are to the TV. On my 32" I could happily stand in front of the sofa, but now Ion my 42" I have to either kneel on the sofa or sit back just to get the gun back far enough to register. Once back though, it's spot on. You can also be too far away.

I know Soi recently had to ditch his wireless headphones as his plasma TV actually emits infra red which screws with them. Maybe your TV is doing something similar.
