Haha, thanks for the amusing comments!
I can now see why everyone was piping on about how addictive it is - I'm finding myself playing it a lot. Thankfully at the moment I'm balancing my 'real' life successfully - well my girlfriend hasn't left me yet!
I've now got to Level 18 as a Human Mage, joined a guild, got a load of money and nice stuff, bought a white kitten () and met a few friends. Me and 4 others had a great time in the Deadmines yesterday and it's fast becoming one of my most played games at the moment. I just hope I can continue to function socially in the real world whilst playing this!

But as everyone has said, it's such an addictive game and part of me always wants to go back but I know I really shouldn't.
I think my favourite part of the game, and the part that is most addictive for me is when you get a good group and do an instance. If you get a good group of people it's a right laugh and really engrossing.

Very nice game. Playing more like a 1player game so far for me as the server I'm on is dead.
I seem to be making a lot of money from my synths with nothing to spend it on.
Loving the music and presentation. Very, very nice.

What spec PCs are you guys on for this? I'm using my reincarnated Dell Dimension 8200 (2ghz, 512mb RDRAM) with Geforce 6600 256mb card. Just wondering if upgrading to 1gb of RAM will increase framerates much? Constantly getting around 30fps unless entering new areas + scanning wide views, would be nice to have everything as fast as possible all the time.

Dave, what server are you on? If you've only just started it might be worth moving to a new server as it can get a bit depressing waiting for folk to arrive for questing etc. I'm on Darkspear and it's pretty decent so far
Had to come off a minute ago though as I still have work to do (boooo)!

Would be nice to have you here mate - I have a big group of RL friends with me but you'll need to choose a Horde faction to be in our Guild.
Lv.18 Female Blood Elf Warlock. I'm loving the Voidwalker but he just randomly kicks off with mobs like a nub all the time. lol

Well getting back into PC tech through this... I'm obsessed with getting as high a framerate as possible with all video options set to 'ass kicking'. Upgrading my CPU from P4 2.0ghz to P4 2.8ghz after I go from 512 to 1gb of RAMBUS RDRAM.
This Dell Dimension 8200 is a bastard for upgrading, for instance I want a quieter and cooler heatsink/fan combo for my new CPU when it turns up, but Dell don't use standard heatsink harnesses so I'm having to order a standard one (for £1 from the US, plus £13 postage :/ ) and then replace the old one on my MB.
I'm looking forward to things like applying the Arctic Silver 5 paste to the back of my CPU before installing the heatsink. I'm losing it.
All in all this is a great training exercise for when I build my own PC from scratch, and I'm well chuffed I've managed to bring this PC back from the dead in the first place, let alone pimp it out to it's limits.Last edited by dataDave; 05-06-2007, 14:59.

Went to Shadowfang Keep to get the Robes of Arugal last night, some guy who reckoned his other character was 70 Warlock thought he was boss so started telling everyone what to do, then we all die, then he quits on the boss like a crying little bitch. So I draft two other people in to help kill the boss all to have one of them lot 'need' on the robes drop - they win it meaning they get the robes after 5mins of running through a dungeon and then leave instantly after bragging about teh win.
We do another run and then the other guy takes the robes and leaves.
Third run the boss drops some cack. Not my night at all.

It's just a good job I have so many rl mates playing this. Without them online playing this game would just stress me out too far. Almost got the numbers for a party build 24/7 thanks to some of them being dolies.Last edited by dataDave; 11-06-2007, 10:10.

You're right Dave, there's nothing more annoying than when you are in a group of strangers - no one communicates with eachother, some knob runs around aimlessly aggroing everything in sight, there are no tactics, everyone 'greeds' on all the stuff even if they cant wear it or dont need it...etc. Makes my blood boil!
I won't be coming over to Ghostlands I'm afraid mate as I'm Lvl 25 with my Mage now and having some fun. You come over to Darkspear! I'm having to cut down my playing time though anyway at the moment as it really sucks you in doesn't it. I find myself wasting hours and hours just pissing about doing quests and killing things, which isn't right when the sun is shining outside the window. After I've got some work out of the way, some time to spare and nothing is going on in 'the real world' I will grind some more levels I'm sure!

No chance of me jumping to another realm - got about 10/11 rl mates on here.
