Some collectors have no price ceiling.

Or rather somewhat higher than other people.

      I know my limits.

I know, I know I just got a lucky break onetime.

It just never came up when doing a worldwide search on eBay UK.

Like I said the seller has multiple ( original ) copies which is strange considering the games rarity.

I bought mine over six months ago.

pretty much a perfect hand held puzzler.
Apparently the developer 'Compile' who made Guru Logic Champ filed for bankruptcy in 2002

Can you get Lumines on the PS2? I think you can. If so I would recommend getting that. On your modded Xbox there are some good Tetris variations in MAME, also there is a couple of good ones on the SNES with magic spells and ****.

I managed to get a copy from Yahoo Auctions using Celga & I think it worked out as roughly ?35. Seems strange that lots of copies have appeared.

As for recommending puzzle games, well... ( checks collection of 142 )

There are loads of cheapish puzzlers for the GB, GBC & GBA, many of which can be bought for a fiver or less, plus about 25 puzzlers on the DS. I've got bit of a soft spot for Boxxle which is incredibly basic, but I've really enjoyed it. I can send you a list of the ones I've got if you like.

its almost in a genre of its own and is fantastic
That's where it's at for me on the GBA. In retrospect, I underscored it. There's a 10 level demo at that link too. Alternatively, Mr Driller Ace.
On DS, I'm big fan of Meteos, although it's not strictly a puzzler and more of an arcade game with puzzle elememts. I'm playing Loderunner DS atm, which is a pretty hard puzzler.

I printed out that review & must've read it a dozen times before getting a copy. I've still got it in my puzzle folder.

Hehe. Three A4 binders full of reviews, interviews etc. Sad I know...

The one and only Mezase Senkyuoh (Battle Balls). Fantastic game. Also available on MAME for those having difficulty tracking down the PSX version.

One of the best puzzlers I have played probably, got hooked on it in an arcade on Rhodes when I was about 12, took me ages to find out what it was afterwards.

It sounds odd at first, but, to me at least, a puzzle game collection seems like one of the only type of games that it actually makes sense to collect.

The intricate logic systems that make them up tend to vary sufficiently between the. Of course, there are a million and 1 tedious tetris/puyo puyo/columns clones, but there are plenty of interesting ones out there.

Pipe Dream and Dharma Dojou for the SFC and Atomix for the C64 would be my recommendations.
